Bean Bandit

Miyuki protested, yawning.

"Y'don't need to carry me, Olchan...I c'n walk..." she muttered, leaning against his shoulder.

Olguin's eyes briefly flickered with some unknown emotion as he looked at Miyuki. He faintly smiled as he turned away from her.

"You don't seem to be capable of walking, Michan." The loose gravel underneath his feet crunched with his steps as he started away from the station.

Bean Bandit

Miyuki bapped him sleepily. "Silly. You're tired too. Put me down...or you'll collapse..."

She rubbed at her eyes. "I don't want to ever be a burden to you..."

The gleaming lights of the city shined as the trio continued through the thin crowds. Looking around with awe struck eyes, Olguin finally commented.

"I'm not tired. I'm too nervous to be tired." He babbled.

Bean Bandit

Miyuki's eyes slowly began to clear of drowsyness.

"Olchan...You need to calm down..." she said quietly. "Akane-basan and Ranma-jisan will be glad to see you. "

She bit her lip. "It'll be ok, You'll see."

Olguin took in a noisy gulp of air, trying to fight down the growing need to  hyperventilate. She couldn't understand, or could she?

He winced as he looked at Leets. They had dragged him on this fool's quest, and he hadn't even complained yet. His voice was quiet as he continued.

"I ran away, and I don't think they'd forgive my cowardness."

Bean Bandit

Miyuki instinctively wrapped her small arms around his neck.

"Olchan...They would not. You were only fourteen...and it's been YEARS. And...Genryu-niichan recovered," she said softly. "You saw him, before..." she trailed off.

"They won't...they CAN'T hold it against you!"

Olguin's expression lost some of the anxiety it held at Miyuki's hug.

"Yeah, before he vanished...most likely dead at the hands of that freak." His reply sounded clipped to even his own ears.

Bean Bandit

Miyuki shook her head vigourously.

"You can't think like that! We didn't see it...He might still be alive..." Miyuki wiped at her eyes.

"Can't give up hope...If we give up...we might not ever get the chance to save him..."

"What if it's already too late? Grahf was...too powerful. It was a demon." Olguin's eyes were hooded as he finished. Slowly, the lights from the homes around them dimmed, before going off.

Eventually, the only sounds on the now desolate street were his quiet steps.

Bean Bandit

Miyuki looked into his eyes seriously, the eighteen year old that she really was showing through the six-year-old exterior.

"Olchan. What if it ISN'T too late? It would be way worse, if he was captured or something, and we just assumed there was nothing we could do, right? We can't give up hope!" She insisted.

She glanced up briefly as they arrived at their destination, walking slowly up the walk to the Ono Chiropratic clinic.

Happy memories, and some not so happy began to surface in her mind...but always, the same feeling of refuge surfaced, whenever she thought of this place...or the many times she or a young Olguin had come here to get themselves repaired after fights, or sparring...

Olguin fought to hide the faint smile on his face at Miyuki's words.

Now of all times he really wished he had been able to stay with her. To never leave her alone like he did.

"Michan...thank you." He softly murmured to his friend, an expression of affection crossing his features.

Walking up to the entrance, he confidentally rang the doorbell. If only she knew how much she had really helped him.

Leets woke up, slightly startled, what time was it now? He glanced around his surroundings, his slightly muddled mind trying to comprehend what was happening, when everything came back to him.

"Uhm, you can let me down now," said Leets, making sure he still had his stuff with him. Darn jetlag, he overslept.

Olguin blinked a few times before doing as asked, taking the opportunity to put Miyuki down as well.

"Okay. How are you feeling now?" He asked, noting that the lights up on the second floor of the clinic were lighting up.

Shukuen

"Feeling better than yesterday." Leets looked up at the slightly imposing building. "You live here?" he asked curiously as he noticed the universal symbol for a medical center. Must be handy to have a doctor in the family, he thought, remembering that the others were some fighters.
