Big ol' sticky topic: Rules and comments from the GM

This will mainly deal with the setup and tone for the coming game, as well as some odds and ends. With that said:

- The game's start date is still undetermined. Realistically, not until November at the earliest, unless thinks magically work out speedily. No need to rush and panic yet.

-The current and tentative player roster is:

Usagi - Ebiris

Ami - Merc for Hire

Rei - Panda, Alternate.

Makoto - Bean Bandit

Minako - Liddo-kun

Setsuna - Halbarard

Hotaru - May

OC 1 - C-Rat, Alternate.

- I am somewhat interested in a possible sixth PC(Well, that didn't hold, but anyway...), but no more. IF you are game, here are the basic guidelines to bear in mind while making a concept. First, while it may be permissable to use one of the later season Senshi, they will need to fit into the Inners and not bring a ton of extra baggage. This will likely contitute a partial reworking of any of them. Tuxedo Kamen is not elligable to be a player character, nor are the cats. Original Characters will be considered IF they are good, fit well and the majority of the PCs are comfortable with the person you propose. Characters from other mediums or sources are vaguely possible if they are severed completely from their original world, do not bring in vastly unneeded NPCs or notable sources of power(Something minor may be allowable if it fits. If. Talk to me on this one, as if you're going that way we should probably be chatting directly anyhow.).

AGAIN: Do not bring a ton of unneeded baggage if you remake or bring in a OC. I will simply reject the character on the spot in this case.

- Relating to the above, this will be an IRC game and the rough times are from 9 AM to 4 PM, EST, with a soft 9 AM and a very hard 4 PM as that's when I go to work.

- The format will be episodic; i.e., the general flow of the sessions will follow the episodic format. That's not to say it will be formalic, but the rough flow will work that way. Of course, the GM may mix things up as he sees fit.

- The tone of the game is looking to be canon. To review, let's say a few things. These are young teenage girls. They are generally reasonably adjusted if with some flaws. They aren't deep angst magnets. Even when something shitty happens, they rebound and rely on each other to stay good. That isn't to say there can't be sadness or misfortune in the game - season one has plenty of solemn and sad notes. But they aren't the majority of what makes the senshi tick, either. They get over things.

- The big L word. As we all know, the last game featured quite a good deal of lesbianism. I'd like to wash that away by and large - I'm not going to be a pleased GM if you girls try to turn it into a senshi muff diving contest at all. If need be, flip the situation around - are you going to turn to your best male friend for that sort of thing if the girl you like doesn't return interest? Going to check out your old friend Adam's sultry rear for no good reason? I didn't think so.

*Deep breath* The bluster of that part aside, l won't outright ban it, despite what I said. Let's just exercise some restraint here, ladies. If something honestly develops within reason, we'll see. In the event it does, do consult the GM before you commit to anything. Fundamentally, it's just that this isn't what we're here for again. You're playing 14ish  year old girls, they don't have to get into a relationship, either, beyond crushes and first dates.

- Character creation will be covered in it's own thread. See that for details.

- As far as combat, I'm looking to pare it down and deemphsize it. This is more for the role playing, though youma sqaushing will have it's place.

Past that? The key thing is to remember to have fun. Once you slog through all this jabbering, that's what it boils down to. Comments, suggestions or just pleas for me to dunk my head into a vat of acid may be posted here. Have fun.

Okay, list of players is updated. May moves into Hotaru's claim, and Rei is opened as Halbarad takes Setsuna.

At this current time, I feel I have a full cast of PCs. If you have interest, you may PM me, post on this OOC board, or let me know otherwise that you have interest. In the event a player cannot make the game or must drop, I'll have you in consideration as a replacement. My apologies, but I feel I must keep the group size sane.

I will allow you to claim non claimed PCs should you come in, also. By all means.
