Odd.... Is anyone else experiencing that?

Well, Goodbye.

Bjorn

Gah.  Nevermind.  For some reason, the Edit button is now showing up.  Don't know what happened. :/

Halbarad

Glitch in the permissioning setup. >_> Normal people can now edit posts here. And the rest of us can post in the main forums now.

Excellent Youkai.

All of your character sheet are still belong to me.

There aren't any particular scenes I think that I need to go through; things like "parting conversations with Mirallia, Radagast, etc." are probably easily left to some behind the scenes hashing out.

I throw the Question of Ye Olde Twinkery down  here: what's the story with CP and Influence? ;)

Also: what happened in the end with the Pax crew?  Depending on how that turned out, it might actually be best to run a scene or two dealing with them.

Brian

The way I see it, Pax doesn't really like the way you're dealing with them.  There's certainly a divide in goals at the end, even if you both want to win the battle against the dreadmarch.  But you're better placed, etc.  They'll spend most of their time just ignoring you and trying to focus on their own jobs, (though you'll never find the alchemist away from Liandral, Serril, or Lindsey).

There's a bit of animosity between the groups for various reasons, but mostly because Huitzil refuses to be Lindsey's pawn, and, well, since he can be invisible, she can't do a whole lot to coerce him that wouldn't really screw up the battles.

Though, Pax does find some nameless guard who has a periapt, and Lindsey is able to turn him in to clear her own name.

'Wooed properly, a man of faith will follow you to the ends of the earth, but the ultimate circle of magic is Pax Arcana.'

Nope, we'll never get the alchemist - we know where his loyalties lie anyway - but we might get the golem-maker. :)

Stuff happening on this page needs resolution, even though the insult was directed at Ginrai and not Bjorn.  Probably should be dealt with IC at some point rather than glossed over.

Possibly this, too.

Yeah, what happens with CP and influence? ^^  I'd like a few additional XP to finish tidying up some things with my dream-self . . . or if I could possibly rearrange a few CP . . . (twinkety)

Do I get to take the first sword back with me? ;p  I probably shouldn't, I know.  Unless it gets broken by the last sword, which would suck.

There were a couple of other things that had occurred to me but I lost my damn notes when my battery died and my laptop refused to come back from hibernate.  I'll have to think.

So why'd Huitz have 19 x 19 scratches in his cell, anyway?

Also, updated the Threadmap.

Suppose I should link this here for Bjorn and Rez, the non-IRC antisocial bums.

Excellent Youkai.

Rezantis

*points wordlessly at his postcount*

Oh, yeah, incidentally - rather than her getting upset about Huitz not wanting to be her pawn, I was intending to be anti-social and give Lindsey a few polite death-threats on the topic.

Also funny:  average words per post, per player:

Bjorn  -  51.76
Drac   -  46.45
Rez    -  43.78
Ginrai -  31.13

Interesting, ne?

Holy wordiness, Batman.  I'm ahead of everyone but Brian? o.O

I agree with Rez that we probably should deal with that conversation, but I'd prefer that it be dealt with *after* the climax of the Earthbook, so we can do it with my personality overhaul. ;)  That, in turn, means that we could at least theoretically do it after the Earth dream was over entirely.  Up to you, Rez.

Rezantis

Sure thing.  I just didn't feel it was something we should gloss over as done offscreen and be all buddy-buddy again.

You've got most of it.  Instead of having you roll, I'll just leave you with that tantalizingly annoying hint.

I'll agree, but I'm not sure what my role in this would be, unless it gets down to a fight.  Otherwise, um ... yes.  This conversation takes place in a room with furniture.

Ginrai: Rez, we need to talk.
Bjorn: I don't like your attitude.
Brian: The chairs are very comfortable.  Upholstered well, and embroidered with vine/grape patterns.  They've got nice arm-rests, but don't slide all the way under the edge of the table.
Rez: You have no regard for my feelings!

...yeah.

Quote from: "Rezantis" Possibly this, too.

Most likely.  I'll run you through an abbreviated IRC session and flesh it out to post later.  It's just you (as far as PCs go), and this does have some potential to influence how the end of the chapter works out (the details may have bearing on the campaign later).

Quote from: "Rezantis"Yeah, what happens with CP and influence? ^^  I'd like a few additional XP to finish tidying up some things with my dream-self . . . or if I could possibly rearrange a few CP . . . (twinkety)

Well, you gain 3 CP per seige-night (even if you're Metal Gear: Rez-ing down in the Archonae city at the time), so if we got up to day ... what ... five?  That'd be 24 CP each.  For your alternate selves.  The game will resume with what amounts to a summary post saying, "Because you did X, Y, and Z, you get: Gained one +7 sword of Dragonslaying.  Gained one +5 priestess of breaking her vows of chastity.  Gained one +golem dude of golemcraftery, etc."  Of course, it'll be less mechanical, but you get the idea. ;)

Quote from: "Rezantis"Do I get to take the first sword back with me? ;p  I probably shouldn't, I know.  Unless it gets broken by the last sword, which would suck.

That hasn't happened yet, so you don't know. :D  The two swords neutralize one-another by being within about fifty yards.  So, uh, if Rez tried to solo the Archon, it didn't end well.

Quote from: "Rezantis"There were a couple of other things that had occurred to me but I lost my damn notes when my battery died and my laptop refused to come back from hibernate.  I'll have to think.

So why'd Huitz have 19 x 19 scratches in his cell, anyway?

Huitz loves the Dark Tower series.  I read the first two books (wait, this is untrue.  I bought the first two, but tossed number two after reading one.  It's still around here somewhere.  Or was before I moved.  Damnit.) and all I really got out of it beyond the setup was the line that Huitz has quoted from time to time: "It's all nineteen".

Now, I may not have had patience for the book ... but I sat through the entirety of the mother-fucking author's forward, and it's THERE that he explains the line, "It's all nineteen".  It's about reflection and contemplation to the time when Mr. King says we're all invincibility.  When we're nineteen, no longer children, and think we really do know everything now.

I thought after sinking to an all-time low by being imprisoned (and barely evading execution), he'd A: Be contemplative, and B: Still be himself.  So while he meditated, he also scratched nineteen times nineteen scratches on the wall.  Hint: There's nothing else to do in the cell.  NOTHING.

Well, he could have played his lute (that sounds so wrong...), but he really didn't seem to dig on that as a player.  So that's what I had him do.

:D

How come Rez gets all the good shit? ;.;

Dracos

Do we get the golem to come too?

He's nifty.  And I totally can see him doing metal gear solid level hiding.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.
