Please Wake Me Up

[Carthrat]

"He better appreciate this thing," comments Tom. "I expect to *not get rained on* for at least three weeks."

[Bjorn]

"No," Bjorn disagrees, "we probably prefer rain.  C'mon, le's go get food."

With that, he heads over to the dining area.

[Halbarad]

Tim follows along, rubbing his back a bit. "God, I'm out of shape. Haven't done anything this strenuous in a while."

[Bjorn]

Bjorn snorts.  "That'll change pretty soon, I'm betting."

[Brian]

In short order, everyone makes it to dinner.  And dinner, as it turns out, is ... pizza?  Apparently, Bart and the other guy picked up about a dozen jumbo pizzas at the local wholesaler.  They've got variety, at least.

[Carthrat]

Tom grabs an old favourite; ye BBQ meat lovers with extra meat.

"Yo, get any drinks?" he asks, stuffing down two slices at once.

[Brian]

There's a trio of coolers set up with lots of canned sodas.  After the meal, Tom and the others catch sight of Bigfire, mostly clustered into a corner, though Carlos is in deep conversation with Ted.  After finishing some point, Ted nods at Carlos, and approaches Tom.

"Nice digs," he says appreciatively.  "I was expecting flags and pinwheels.  Maybe a chest.  Thanks a ton."

[Halbarad]

Tim shrugs. "I enjoy building things, and it gave us something to do. Glad you like it."

[Carthrat]

"'sokay," replies Tom, shrugging. "Out of curiosity, what exactly is it supposed to do?"

[Brian]

"It's a focus.  A point where I can center my power to try and raise shields of fog, wind, and also, somewhere I can put my clothes when I'm not in a mortal host," Ted explains.

[Carthrat]

"Oh. Coolness," replies Tom. "That's kinda neat. It didn't take that long to build. We could smack one down anywhere if we needed too.. handy, that."

[Brian]

"That's good to know, but hopefully won't be required," Ted says.  "Anyway.  I'm going to set up some nightly fog for the region."  With a nod, he wanders out the door to the street.

[Halbarad]

Tim finishes up his pizza and stands.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm beat after all that work today. Think I'll head to bed... if I can find any free, at least. See you in the morning."

[Brian]

As Tim is about to turn to the doorway, Phil returns, a bit dusty, and with a few tears in his clothes that weren't there when he left.  He seems his normally healthy and cheerful self, however.

"Howdy.  Everyone doing fine?" Dracos completely ignores the state of his clothes.
