I have a confession to make.


I coached a kid slightly younger than me (two years maybe) in the ways of the game. But... I noticed... he began to ignore my lessons in quality. He began flirting with the dark side of games. Tony Hawk was his cruel mistress at first... then Turok! I tried to divert his attention back to the forces of quality by bringing him to various message boards, but he would not be swayed. At last he had the nerve to say to me that Sonic Adventures 2 was the greatest of the Sonics! In disgust I flung him into the wild with grievous injuries (inflicted after he fell into a pool of Lava in SA2). I thought him dead. But another brought his shattered body back into the realm of life, but in the service of a dark new master... Gamefaqs Boards...


I fear what he has become.

Good stuff. Reminds me of the old Metal Gear Solid guides that mocked the enemy AI (paraphrased from memory: "If you're in immediate danger of being found by enemies, do not panic. Simply run through the snow around the nearest corner. The guard will see your footprints, become suspicious, and just, much like all real trained soldiers, immediately slow to snail speed and follow them inch by tedious inch, giving you plenty of time to run away while Sherlock Holmes over there puts your boot marks under the magnifying glass.").

By the way, if I were in charge of this Zanzibar country, I'd make sure this question was on every job interview. "So, if you were about to die, would you tell the enemy agent who killed you everything you know about my secret plans?"
