A Bird and A Goon in the desert

[Dracos]

"Yeah.  I don't think I've met the person who wasn't brought here yet."

Dracos

[Carthrat]

"Heh.. and ten years, you say. Were there people here.. before that? I'm trying to get a sense of scale." Mei-Ling shrugs a little.

[Dracos]

"A few around these parts.  More elsewhere." He slowly started eating.

Dracos

[Dexie Oblivion]

Darx gestures to Ryder.

"C'mon, let's find that girl."

And lo, he takes off in the direction Mei headed when she left.

[Dracos]

They too arrive at the ranch, the cows peacefully grazing.

Dracos

[Dexie Oblivion]

"Hmm....seems peaceful enough.  Why would she be here?"

[Carthrat]

"How far out of town?"

[Dracos]

"Nearest cities are a few days travel north of here."

Dracos

[Carthrat]

"No roads, I assume," muses Mei-Ling. "Have you ever been up to the cities? What were they like?"

[Dracos]

"Nope.  Got a fair living here, why move about?"

Dracos

[Dexie Oblivion]

"Hmm."

Darx makes his way towards the house, slowly circling it, trying to peek through any windows.

[Dracos]

Peeking in, he could spot the woman and what appeared to be the owner of the place having breakfast and talking.

Dracos

[Dexie Oblivion]

Darx ruffles his wings, annoyed.

"Hmph, some nerve she's got, eating breakfast while the rest of us are out here looking for her."

He walks around to the front door and knocks.

[Dracos]

"Huh...  lots of visitors today.  odd."

The man got up and opened the door.  "Howdy?"

[Dexie Oblivion]

Darx looks pretty annoyed. <_<

"The girl.  Tell her I wish to speak with her."
