Heya all. Here at my cousins. So i'm sitting here surfing the web and wondering what has happened to this thread ^^ and also where's the java chat thingy?

Assuming each oven can cook 2 turkeys simultaneously, If one cook and 2 ovens can cook 3 turkeys in 4 hours, occupying the cook completely, how many cooks and ovens will it take to cook 15 turkeys in the same amount of time

Well, since the problem doesn't say how long it takes a single turkey, I would guess... 5 cooks, 10 ovens.  I'm fairly sure it's not the answer you want, but hey.

EDIT: Oops.  I would say then 8 ovens, 5 cooks.

I thought I'd throw one out.  It's old, but maybe new to some of you.

There's a room with only one door(light and sound proof), no windows and only one working light bulb.

Outside the room, there is a panel with three lightswitches, all in the down position.    

The challenge is to determine a process to determine which switch turns on the light.
1) You can only open the door once.  
2) You can't touch any of the switches when the door is open.

Easy, no?

Flip up switches one and two.  Wait ten minutes.  Turn off switch two.  Go into the room.  Is the light on?  Switch one.  Off?  Touch it.  Is it hot?  Switch two.  Cold?  Switch three.
