Into the Lair of the Kingpin

[Shukuen]

"Really. Don't suppose you can give me a hint of what it is?"

[Carthrat]

"Again, what does the flute look like?" asks Mei-Ling, shrugging.

[Dracos]

"Sort of...silver?  Been a while."

Dracos

[Dracos]

Leets:

"Dunno, something expensive I'd guess."

Dracos

[Shukuen]

Leets nodded, then leaned in closer. "How about the Kingpin?" he whispered. "He up to anything different from usual?"

[Dracos]

"woah, woah, ye didn't pay enough for that.  You don't got the gold for that."

Dracos

[Shukuen]

"I see," Leets said, a little disappointed. Though the reaction seemed to indicate something was going on. "Thanks for everything, Greg."

He left the half of the money he pilfered on the table as a tip and left.

[Dracos]

"Nothin' but business.  Don't know what you're talkin' bout kid." He responded, collecting the funds and making his way out as well.

[Carthrat]

Mei-Ling sighs.

"Anything you think we should know, Yomi? Wolves, towers, starstones.. until Leets returns, I have little to say."

[Dracos]

A knock at the door interrupted Yomi, as Leets returned.

[Shukuen]

Leets entered his apartment, the paused, staring at Yomi floating in an almost carefree manner.

He quickly shut the door before anyone saw, eyeing the group incredulously. "Did I miss something here?"

[Carthrat]

"Not really," replies Mei-Ling. "Did you find out anything?"

[Shukuen]

"It seems some of the gangs are making moves into each others' territories. One of the families are moving something big too." He shrugged. " Source didn't give specifics though. And nothing concrete on the Kingpin either."

[Carthrat]

Mei-Ling muses on that.

"The Kingpin is the one who holds the starstone, correct? If we wished to take it from him, we would do well to take advantage of the impending chaos."

[Halbarad]

"Unless he's the one orchestrating the chaos," Clyde mused. "If that's the case, we'd be doing little more than walking directly into his plans - not exactly a trap, since I doubt he knows we're looking for him. This isn't to say we shouldn't try, but it would be well for us to remain wary."
