Shuten's Extended Downtime

I'm not going to spend forever trying to explain the situation but long story short, among other problems, my Motherboard is shot. Oh and I've learned the hard way that the IDE Card in my PC won't support drives over 137 Gigabytes. -_-;

My apologies to everyone concerning this situation. I can access the Internet thru my Bro's PC but what I can actually do is limited. I am going to try and return as soon as possible. However, with our current financial state being the way it is, I have no idea when that will be.

Well got good news and bad news.

The good news is it turns out that the problem with the motherboard wasn't actually a motherboard problem. Long story short the video card died.

The bad news is the problem with the IDE Card remains. Currently I've managed to get most of the drives back in with the exception of the one drive currently holding virtually all of my personal data. My new 250 is currently slaved off the DVDBurner, one of the 120s is acting as the Master, a 200 is slaved off the 120 Master, and the other 120 is currently running off the IDE Card.

My Bro claims that it's possible to set it up so that the 120 Master can boot from the IDE Card however he never ever seems to be around. He's always busy and it drives me nuts. >_<

Long story short I currently do not have the 250 that has practically all of my stuff, thankfully nothing was lost, in the system. Until I can find a way to put the drive in and know that my chance of losing data will be as limited as possible I can't take that chance.

Currently I'll I can do is wait for my Bro to find the time. On that note I wonder what the temperature in hell is? Perhaps when it is freezing my Bro will be around to help. >_<

By the way if anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability which honestly is more than likely far too lacking.

It would seem hell has frozen over sooner than I thought. I was able to fix the problem with the IDE Card by updating the Bios. Anyways long story short everything, aside from moving a huge amount of files around, is finally set. ^^

Anyways I should be back on IRC, barring anything unforeseen, sometime in the next several hours hopefully. I still have a lot to do before I am ready but I just wanted everyone to know that the main problems have been overcome and it's just a matter of doing the standard stuff involved with a reinstall.

Well between my last post in this topic and now a lot has happened. I won't bore everyone with the details but as things stand I'm not completely ready for primetime so to speak. However I'm doing all I can to get there.

Anyways I won't give an estimated time as to when things will be completely at 100%, in some ways I'll probably never be there considering certain factors, but here's hoping it will be sooner rather than later.
