To both aussage my own issues, and to get some input/advice!

Right now, I think, the game is verifiably moving towards *something*. There's a big bad guy out there, a sense of paranoia, and, hopefully, even a sense of adventure!

The question is, what sort of balance, in terms of play, do you want to introduce? Less fights? More NPC interaction? More GMPC interaction (hahaha)? More personal PC stuff, even, god forbid, some scenes that don't come directly from your sordid, and hithero unknown pasts? I'm curious. The game hasn't proven itself to be 100% dungeon hack (yet), but it's to the point where I'm actually not sure how to define it myself.

Basically, I'm asking what you think of where it is now, and where you'd like to see it go in the future.

I don't particularly care, I'm fine where we're at for the most part. I just hope the feeling of Korin as an outsider/not belonging in the group ends soon. I just feel like Korin's not being given much of a chance to mesh with the rest except during/after a battle, and once that threat's gone, it's back to him being an outsider to the group. It's damn well bloody annoying.
<Cidward> God willing, we'll all meet in Buttquest 2: The Quest for More Butts.

Okay, as to where we are and where we've been? I rather like how it's coalesced into something meaningful over the course of the game. We went from bored money-grubbing mercs to desperadoes on the edge of society with enemies at every turn! Or something like that.

Basically, you've done a good job of giving us a reason to risk our lives day in day out - no mean feat considering we're all neutral and basically out for ourselves. The adventures so far have been pretty interesting, generally keeping things 'real' for the most part rather than us just randomly spelunking in monster infested caverns hoping to find treasure.

That said, I wouldn't mind the odd lengthy dungeon crawl now and then. The pirate cave looked like it could've been one, but we barely scratched the surface before our motivation to stick around died messily.

As for sordid pasts, it looks like this adventure will deal with Thrall's, unless Elric performs a cliche villian escape. After that we should still get plenty of milage out of the Tieflings' fiendish relations. But I wouldn't mind some new circumstances spurring us into a new adventure - it'd be refreshing to do something that involves looking to the future rather than the past.

After this adventure (assuming we all live!), Thrall and Korin must go out drinking.

Then the following exchange can take place.

Thrall: So, what do you think of them?
Korin: I'm not sure I...
Thrall: Maz has that quiet elegance about her.
Korin: Er...
Thrall: But I bet Seraphin fucks like a tiger!

Than all will be well!

Honestly? I find dungeon crawls a bore. Then again, I find most D&D battles a bore. I'm quite picky.

I've probably enjoyed flirting with Gale more than anything, recently. My family was one enormous disappointment. Couldn't even just say hi, I'm alive, glad you folks aren't batshit!

As for our pasts? Seraphin's mainly looking forward. She wants to get to her mother's grave, but at the moment, that's more closure than anything else. It seems her relatives decided she was too much trouble by now. Well, that also strikes a bit on why it's not really workable at the moment--I never wrote her family into something cohesive. So eh.

As for where to go? Eh. Seraphin jsut wants to settle her career, maybe give the surviving children of her 'family' in Waterdeep a visit or two, and rake in the cash before finding a suitable market to conduct assassinations and climb the power market in.
