The first episode to this series was interesting.  I really like the art quality and sound ensemble that had for this show.  Unfortunately, there is the ever present suspicion that the budget for this is going to eventually get slashed and a lower end product will be pumped out from therein...

I do wonder how divergent it will be from the manga since it appears that they're already going to move ahead with introducing L in the second episode.  Here's to hoping the series doesn't plummet to retardation (like in the manga) too quickly since episode 1 did appear promising.

I'm not going to hold my breath though.
