It's an old text-based simple RPG script.  You go out to the forest, fight monsters, come back to town, buy better weapons and armor, visit the inn to flirt with the barmaid and listen to the bard, rob the bank every second Thursday, bribe the innkeeper to let you stab another player in their sleep, then take a nap.  Repeat the next day.

Beginning instruction:

* Telnet to the specified server
* Type 'New'
* Enter name, password and other details; it is suggested you select Synchromatic (classic) display mode
* If you selected 'classic' mode, hit 'X' (external programs)
* Hit '2' (games)
* Hit '6' (LORD)
* Hit 'E' (enter the game)

Then start; it's menu-driven, so you can figure things out pretty quick.
