Apparently, Hibiki was of the same mind as Meia, and Vandread Meia spread it's wings, and raced away as stunning speeds.

The head of the 'dragon' began to glow a faint green, steadily increasing in hue and size as the Vandread made a large, looping arc and headed back for the spined sphere.

As it did, it's speed increased again. The green glow now encompassed the entire 'head' of the mecha.

Vandread Meia shot forward like a missle. Stars and surroundings blurred into insignificance as Hibiki leaned forward on his seat....And time seemed to dilate and compress all at once...

And they struck, with the force and impact of a blast of plasma fire. The spined ball blew apart...With a surprisingly small explosion.

As they passed through the area where the enemy had been...Meia noted a bluish flare, and time seemed to slow...

The stars outside their window slowed from smears of light back into dots.

Hibiki turned to her, almost comically slowly, his expresion caught between elated and confused.

And she was suddenly, intensely aware of a pulling sensation, pulling at her mentally, and physically.

Pain lanced through her as she resisted, nearly unconciously. She suddenly had a mental image of herself, and her connection to Vandread Meia.

Her connection was pulling in one direction, and a mysterious force was pulling in the other...

And it HURT!

"Shi-aaaah!"

'Meia's' hand went to her head, and instinctively she tried to release the connection, drawing herself back from it...

Hangin' out backstage, waiting for the show.

Space seened to shimmer and quake around Vandread Meia, as the blue light permeated the Dragon mecha, seemingly lighting it up from within, even as it twisted in place, throwing it's head back, as though in pain.

Barnette's dread raced to the aid of the distressed mecha, but before she could arrive...The Vanguard was forcibly expelled from the fusion, thrown end over end through space.

Meia's Dread promptly began glowing even brighter blue, as the ripples and quakes around the dread intensified, tearing a hole in the fabric of space itself, and yanking the Dread through.

Barnette saw the rip, and reacted with admirable speed...and still failed to veer off in time. The gravitational pull from the hole reached out and grabbed her dread, pulling it alond with Meia's....

And the hole closed, leaving one VERY disoriented young man in a mecha at the scene...
