"Hm. Thanks for your help on this, Malcas. Keep it quiet, between us. Council orders."

With that, Alyssa heads back to find Madala and Jarem.

[Anastasia]

"Short version?" Jarem says, Madala not in, "We're still interviewing and gathering information, but most people saw a black blur and nothing else. The bastard was moving damned fast. Fast enough to make untrained eyes unable to see anything but a flash of dark colors."

[Iron Dragoon]

"I got the same in my Hindsight spell. Couldn't tell anything. However, I did find residue from his smoke. It was an alchemical mixture. Not especially rare, but unusually potent. Since tools like that aren't exactly commonplace here, as opposed to a true adventurer's guild, we might be able to design a divination spell to track that formula. It'll likely give us multiple candidates, but that's better than everyone not in this room."

[Anastasia]

"I'll look into it," Jarem says, "Anything else?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"Service for the guards. I knew their gear failing like that was suspicious. Have the rest keep watch for it. Apparently, this assassin likes to test people for fun."

[Anastasia]

"I don't think testing was it," Jarem shakes his head, leaning in. "Two guards are meaningless for him to kill. This wasn't about killing, it as about getting into our heads. It was about making the rest of the guild fearful and doubtful."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Likely. It was quite bold to attack the council guards like that. He might be getting over-confident."

[Anastasia]

"I'll see if I can't boost morale too, somehow," Jarem exhales, "Alright. You're going off with Emily, right?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"At some point. She hasn't let me know when the dinner is supposed to be. I'm also arranging a trip for the council to Celestia. Let them get out and try to find some help themselves. Also removes them from being targets here while our agent arrives. I seriously doubt our assassin will follow to Celstia and try anything."

[Anastasia]

"Find out," Jarem says, and...

Assuming Cor doesn't have anything come up we're on and ready for that trip. Anything to do in prep for it?

[Iron Dragoon]

A small gift, perhaps, but I don't know of anything I have on hand that they'd like.

[Anastasia]

Up to you there. You have a few minutes while Cor is en route to home.
