Lost in goldenfire (Jaela)

[Anastasia]

The next thing Jaela knows, she's standing elsewhere. A grand temple of Lathander, decorated with gold suns everywhere. Stained glass iwndows let in colored sunlight, while the air is fresh and clean. It smells like spring in here. Ahead of you is row after row of pews, with a grand altar of gold ahead. The colored sunlight around it turns to golden-white, the entire altar shining as brightly as the sun itself.

"Hello?" Jaela calls out, looking about.

[Anastasia]

"Well met." A voice speaks, neither male or female. It simply is, the words ringing in your ears despite merely being whispered.

A figure is poured down from the sunlight to behind the altar. It is an angel perhaps ten feet tall, six white wings from its back. Two jut upward, two straight to the sides and two downwards. It hovers just off the ground, radiance beginning to shine from it. Male or female, you know not, for looking at it is overwhelming. It bears no weapon and wears blinding light as clothing.

"You have come to my domain, Jaela of Aurora. I am Salandariel."

"I'm honestly impressed," Jaela says earnestly. "In many ways." She pauses in thought for a moment. "You know my name. Of course. Then you know how I came to be here, but I apologize for the intrusion all the same."

[Anastasia]

Jaela recalls a fragment of lore, found in one of Aurora's ancient tomes. An angel - no, an archangel. An archangel of retribution, of destruction, of life. The response to an unstated mistake, something that brings ends and new life in the ashes.

"The sun and Elysium have sent you here. I destroy what is unworthy and replace it with what is worthy. You have come here, you must be tested."

Jaela inclines her head. "Sounds fair. Name the rules?"

[Anastasia]

There is a flash of light as Jaela's companions appear all around her. They barely get a chance to register the temple they stand in before the angel speaks a single word. This one makes the light glow even brighter, "Survive."

"Ah, just in time for the savage combat?" Afina says as she hears the angel challenge Jaela to survive. "Please stop me if I'm wrong," is about all the warning she gives before hasting the group and blurring towards the angel at terrific speed with Afame in hand...
