Surraruthru nods to Sylvie as he curls around Kascha's shoulders. "Thank you, Sylvie. Let's see what unpleasant things are in store for us today."

Level 3:

Mage Armor, Greater: CL 25, Duration: 25 hours
+6 armor bonus to AC.

Battlemagic Perception (Self only): CL 25, Duration 250 minutes
+5 competence on Spellcraft check to identify spell being cast, If you have at least 5 ranks in Spellcraft, you are also able to sense the use of any spell or spell-like ability within 100 feet, so long as you have line of effect to the caster. With a Spellcraft check (DC 15 + spell level) you can even ascertain the spell being cast. This determination happens quickly enough that you can attempt to counter the spell as a free action.

Level 4:

Stoneskin: CL 28, Duration: 280 minutes
Gain damage reduction 10/adamantine. Once the spell has prevented a total of 10 points of damage per caster level (maximum 150 points), it is discharged.

Level 7:

Spell Turning: CL 28, Duration: 280 minutes
Spells and spell-like effects targeted on you are turned back upon the original caster. The abjuration turns only spells that have you as a target. Effect and area spells are not affected. Spell turning also fails to stop touch range spells.
From seven to ten (1d4+6) spell levels are affected by the turning. The exact number is rolled secretly.
When you are targeted by a spell of higher level than the amount of spell turning you have left, that spell is partially turned. The subtract the amount of spell turning left from the spell level of the incoming spell, then divide the result by the spell level of the incoming spell to see what fraction of the effect gets through. For damaging spells, you and the caster each take a fraction of the damage. For nondamaging spells, each of you has a proportional chance to be affected.

Level 8:
Moment of Prescience (Self only): CL 25, Duration: 25 hours
This spell grants you an insight bonus equal to your caster level (maximum +25) on any single attack roll, opposed ability or skill check, or saving throw. Alternatively, you can apply the insight bonus to your AC against a single attack (even if flat-footed).

Mindblank (Self only): CL 28, Duration: 24 hours
The subject is protected from all devices and spells that detect, influence, or read emotions or thoughts. This spell protects against all mind-affecting spells and effects as well as information gathering by divination spells or effects. Mind blank even foils limited wish, miracle, and wish spells when they are used in such a way as to affect the subject's mind or to gain information about it. In the case of scrying that scans an area the creature is in, such as arcane eye, the spell works but the creature simply isn't detected. Scrying attempts that are targeted specifically at the subject do not work at all.

"She's not lying," Sylvie says.

"Oh yes, it's safe," Kascha says, "We're on Niflheim."

"Whatever you do, do not look back," Thurra says, "You'll regret it."

Surraruthru opens his eyes, scanning in front of the group and the sides, but not looking back..

Ahead is wastelands - blasted olive trees, cracked ground and heat. It's Niflheim.

Ebony walks ahead at a brisk pace, Thurra leading the way. Sylvie does the same, "Whatever is behind there, it's something the 'loths did a long time ago. Thurra wasn't forthcoming with details, but they hid something precious."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Hmm, something to look into after we finish our mission, then. First thing first, though. No use in wasting our strength right now. Thurra, any clues as to what we can expect from Secretus?"

[Anastasia]

"I've never been in his realm," Thurra admits, "I only know the way, who dares six valeoloths?"

"More truth," Sylvie adds as you hurry along.

[Iron Dragoon]

"We do, apparently."

With that, Surraruthru remains quiet while they head towards their goal.
