Marie opens the door!

Within it lies - wooden pews, shadowed and dark. No altar, merely a looming tapestry of Shar's Eye, to which robed figures kneel and offer profane, horrid prayers to. It is difficult to see here, the shadows clinging to everything, roiling as if alive. Twisting full of roiling hate, ready to lash out.

There are perhaps a dozen figures here, clad in robes and masks, adorned with the green and color feathers of a peacock. They chant their prayers in Abyssal, offering them up to the Lady of Loss.

A dozen people to match the dozen shadows from earlier? Do they have a power to transform into shadows perhaps?

"Enough!" Alicia's voice rings out over the perverse congregation as she and Marie stand in the doorway.

[Anastasia]

"No," One of them calls, a voice like the winds howling in an empty ravine. "It is never enough until all is none." Slowly they rise and turn to face you, faces hidden by their masks. Masks of iron, masks blank and inhuman. Masks that make no pretense of representing a face, only the vaguest, emptiest shape of one. The edges of them seem to fade to shadows, blurring into the room.

"Shall we show you your failures, your losses, the pain that cripples your heart? Let us show you how you can forever be free of that suffering. Let us show you the freedom Shar gives anyone who asks her. Let us show you how all are equal in Shar's embrace. Let us show you oblivion."

"It is foretold, it cannot be stopped." The voice echos in the room, as if the winds howl for all to end.

"It must be, it is too late to change." The voice is a gentle whisper, almost soothing, like a mother's voice to her tired child.

"It shall be, because all will end." The voice is insistent, like winds whipping at your flesh like a lash.

"Whether oblivion awaits or not, there is no equality to be found in Shar's capricious favouritism," Alicia retorts, raising her sword.

"And what's foretold is nothing but a hope until it comes to pass!" not to be outdone, Marie adds her own profound sounding aphorism to the debate!
