Consecrating the hallway, Alicia tries opening the door directly opposite the room they just came from.

The scent of death leaves here, replaced with nothing at all, just ambient scents of dust and stone. On this door is the word, 'Bathrooms.'

The dimensional disturbance could be in a bathroom, right? She's going to try this door and if there's nothing relevant she'll go along to the east of the corridor to open that door instead as the best routes based on Mystra's pointing from earlier.

You bring Bonds up and parry, a fist of vermin slamming into where you were a second ago, pushed back by the impact. Another swarm, a huge buzzing sound as they lunge and...!!!

In these confined quarters a flame strike will do, and so Alicia drops a pillar of cleansing flame atop this inconsiderate swarm!

So close and yet so failed.

Raw chaos-energy erupts out, sucking down insects by the thousands - and ye tmore are swarming, more are coming, some sort of central bathing pool glimpsed. It twists and writhes terrifically, the air around it crying out. Yet seconds later more insects gush out, blocking your view and replacing the losses.

Dazed. That it for Marie?

The save is only for being dazed, the spell does full damage regardless of saves.

Also the maw lasts 31 rounds so it'll keep doing damage on future turns/new arrivals entering its space (15 foot radius) will take the damage too.

"Still alive?!" Marie gapes as two maws of chaos plus all of Alicia's spells fail to do the job.
