Anastasia

You begin to fly out, flinging them as they fly. Yet you barely begin before it happens - shadowed things emerge. Twisted things cloaked in darkness, emerging all about as more and more portals open, expanding past the limits rapidly. Snarling, snapping, silent daemons - battle axes and blades, faceless things emerging from the portals.

They're here, Seira tells Honeydip and Na'lith, even as she casts the interdiction spell that blocks out dimensional travel for a massive radius around her and proceeds onwards! Time to see whether the portals she covers will be taken out once she moves.

Jaela's Teleport Block, radius of 1750ft. I'm hoping it works like Dimensional Lock for the purpose of nuking rather than suppressing the individual portals, and going to see that!

Going to stay out in the field, then? If so init.

You win init. Seira (32) > Hordes (17)

Go ahead and go, I'll define them more and add inits as needed. It's just beginning after all.

#695
Proceeding with my action of Jaela's Teleport Block and flying at top speed to hit more portals with its range. Gambit so I'd hit back anyone AoOing me.

The shadowy daemons by and large shrink away from you, as portals continue to spread. You fly about on your mission, yet they're spreading and spreading in all directions. The daemons don't impede you at all, instead gathering away from you and...

Go ahead. Perhaps wisely the daemons aren't trying to directly fight a deity. At least not yet.

Seira continues her attempts to wipe out the portals, even as she waits for Honeydip to lead her forces to eliminate those daemons already out here.

Is the teleport block closing the portals permanently after they leave my radius?

Anastasia

Give me Perception int hat case real quick, then I'll answer all the questions. Someone may be trying something sneaky.

The portals are slowly recovering, though not fast. Slower than they should.

Honeydip is leading the army forth as you'd expect, spilling out from the Cauldron in the meantime.

You can shadowy things emerging from the portals. Like living darkness, next to insectoid mezzloths, crab-like piscoloths and the over muscled, scaly yagnoloths. The daemons continue to emerge, the shadowy things one and all darting for the Cauldron, all but impossible to see once they're in the Silver Sea.

Na'lith's forces will keep the Cauldron safe! Seira keeps moving at high speed and making a circuit of the portals. If she closes down enough of them, perhaps they will either dispel or whoever is behind the attack will give up on it. And meanwhile, she leaves up enough permanent dimensional locks to make the respawning difficult, trusting in Honeydip and her army to dispatch the invaders!

I'll keep going fast to nuke portals (400ft x4 = 1,600ft at a dedicated run), and drop 2 Dimensional Lock spells per round as swifts so that even as I leave the area some of the portals won't come back due to being nuked permanently via those AoE spells.

Anastasia

Thus Seira drops dimensional locks and flies as the armies begin to clash around her. Daemons simply are unwilling to engage her as she does so - and yet a portal about 4000ft ahead opens wide. From this they come - a swarm of dozens and dozens of nycaloths, great green brutes with axes ready to strike. Each a horror worthy of a nightmare, each looming in the Silver Sea like the beginning of the end. Things of greed and hate, eyeing you with open disgust and fear.

"Dragon...dragon...crush the false dragon..."

Whispers echo throughout the air as you pass, a near silent, distorted urging.

Seira makes her way towards them! At this rate, it will only take her a few seconds to reach and seal that portal, and then she can dispatch those whispering fools!
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

Yet as you advance the nycaloths are moving towards you as well - six dozen if there's one, and more coming by the second. They're moving fast, daemons moving out of the way of the coming, cataclysmic collision.

Init.
