Saviours, the game!

[Corwin]

Miaka looked sad. "I didn't realize Zaphiel and you were that close. I'm sorry."

[kpjam]

"It is of no concern," she said lightly.  "Arkanel made me renounce my ties when he cast Zaphiel from the community.   If he's right about Zaphiel's intents, he wants me as insulated from the thoughts of others as possible."

[Corwin]

"That's stupid." Miaka smiled sadly. "You can't order people to think differently from the way they do any more than you can tell them who to love."

[Merc]

"Look, you guys talk out what you want, besides the story, I haven't heard anything helpful," Remdos said, getting somewhat annoyed and bored. "Can you just show me the way to the basement, so I can doze off until everybody feels like moving on?"

He wasn't exceptionally tired, especially with his forced 'nap', but he figured he'd best stick around with the fellows here, and it wouldn't do well to be tired when they were fresh and well rested.

"Arkanel is only doing what he feels is best.  The lives of the town is in his hands, he's thinking of its future, along with mine.  I do not deny him that, even if I disagree," Lafiel responded.

[kpjam]

Arkanel nodded to the archer, and rang his bell.  Clara entered and stood obediently nearbye.

"Would you show this man to the beds downstairs.  Any others can follow as you see fit."

Clara nodded and went towards one of the previously unopened doors.  

"Follow me," she said timidly before slipping through it.

[Merc]

Remdos nodded towards Arkanel before following the girl. As they walk, he'll look around, trying to maintain a general idea of the layout and his surroundings.

Miaka shrugged. "I won't speak about this anymore, then," she said. Biting into a muffin, she spoke again, her voice slightly muffled but still understandable. "Could I ask you what you know about this little problem with magic that everyone has here?"

[kpjam]

Lafiel nodded.  "It was something set up by those who won the war, or maybe those who lost the war, and those who won liked it.  Zaphiel said he found out what and a way around it until he could remove it.  But he never spoke more specifically, at least not to me."

[Corwin]

"Sounds logical." Miaka shrugged, finally getting to her banana split. "Too bad you don't know more, though. I was hoping that you would be able to help those of us who came with magical abilities, which are now useless. They wouldn't even be able to heal themselves. Oh well... Tamahome will keep me safe, I just know it!"

[kpjam]

Lafiel frowned.  "Help?  I'm sorry... but even if I could, I don't think I could help you kill someone else..."  Her head remained bowed as she finished her stick and drank some more of her milkshake.

[kpjam]

Arkanel blinked then looked at Daggedal, "Sorry, sir.  I don't know of any alliances he has, at least with other cities or groups of people.  He has acquired followers, people with similar desires I assume...."

[Carthrat]

"Could ye quote numbers?"

Daggedal waits expectantly..

[kpjam]

"I saw at least fifty... but that was some months ago.  From the amount of food they take in, the number should be multiplied by at least 3 or 4.  I'm sure the castle could hold as much as a thousand," Arkanel responded to Daggedal.

[Carthrat]

"A thousand? Ah shit.

'ell, ay'm sure ah'll think up moor questions fer ye later. In de meantime, can ye direct me to this blacksmith? I need me a coat of mail.."
