"Unless she knows something about him we don't," replies Daggedal, eyeing the man.

[kpjam]

Lafiel turned away from Rin.   "I don't konw what you thought ou were doing.  You and my father can't decide my fate."

"I'm going to get ready.  I'll be proceeded as *I* see fit.  If you wish to join me... I'll be at the balcony in 20 minutes."

She strides from the room, while Rin watches her with his head hung low.

Daggedal snorts.

"And just how do you intend to proceed?"

[kpjam]

O'karns dagger flew straight, biting deeply into the shoulder of the lead runner. He misses a stride, but continues running.

The Ogre's fist comes down on the other mans forehead, soundless bonelessly, crumpling him to the ground.

Lafiel stops at the door.  Without turning, she says, "Disabling their power source, then destroying their ability to enter this continent at all."  She continues out the door.

[Carthrat]

"That's a goal, not a plan," notes Daggedal, rolling his eyes.

[kpjam]

Rin gives a deep sigh.  "The plan was to scout around the tunnels.  So we could devise a plan.  If Zaphiel had hidden, they would have never given up in their searching.   Zaphiel knew this.  He... we thought that if it came to a seige, and this was the outcome, they would continue in thier previous lack of dilligence.  She knows this, and hopefully she'll calm down and think rationally."

Devon leaps down onto the walkway below and examines the bodies.

Devon's initial inspection, revealing that bodies laced with many tears.  He doesn't get far when he hears the clattering of a sword coming from down the stairs.  A quick look reveals the stairs lead to a hallway.

Devon runs towards the sounds of battle.

Easily descending the steps, Devon notices immediately the massive O'karn a short distance away.  Three bodies at his feet, while another can be seen fleeing down the corridor, away from the castle.

Swiftly drawing his pistol, Devon takes aim past O'karn at the fleeing man and fires.

[Carthrat]

"Hope isn't much of a plan, either," remarks Daggedal. "I'll give her ten minutes before I go out there and drag her back, kicking and screaming. If she's serious about taking on.. well, for heavens sake, I barely know who we're taking on, except that there are more of them than us, they control basically the entire populance, and they're probably more personally powerful than us, too.

This ain't turning out to be a good day."

[kpjam]

"All I received was a punch for tackling her," Rin replied ruefully.  "She went to her room. I'm sure she's when done collecting she be at the balcony..." He pauses.

"I'm sorry.  I realize I must be confusing or slightly incoherent.  Let's move to the balcony and wait the princess' return and I'll try to answer any questions.  I don't... can't really expect much from you, but I'm forced to offer her any aid, even silly and assinine that I can."

Devon wathces as his aim is true, the man running away flops forward on his face.

O'karn hears an whirl behind him and notices a thin beam streak past him, striking the fleeing man in the small of his back and sending him to the ground.
