[Carthrat]

"Yes! Of course!" he says, eagerly rushing over to help cart around the body.

A short while later, the five elves are in the barracks, with the unconcious elf lying on a bed..

[Ebiris]

Now that they have some privacy, Fuu turns an intent look towards the still awake transmuted 'elf'. "Care to explain how you and your friend are under the effects of a Transmutation spell?" she asks, betraying no emotion in her tone.

[Carthrat]

The boy pauses before answering. "It's, uh, a spell the shugenja cast on us before we started training! It's supposed to make us more resilant, so we don't hurt as much!"

[Corwin]

"You two are friends, then?" Umi exclaims, clapping her hands. "You must've trained together, too!"

[Carthrat]

"Well, actually, uh, no, we didn't," the second boy says. "See, I was trained as a monk, and he was trained as a swordsman.."

[Ebiris]

"And what makes you warrant such special attention?" Fuu asks, "Shugenja are not in the habit of casting spells simply to make training a little less strenuous." Disbelief is now fairly clear in her voice.

[Carthrat]

"Oh, she's my sister," the kid blurts out.

[Ebiris]

"Perhaps we should take you and your friend to the castle? I'm sure the Shugenja there will be happy to clear this up?" Fuu suggests, smiling thinly.

[Carthrat]

The boy pauses, placing his hands over his friends head for a moment. "I'm not sure that's such a good idea, we've really gotta go back to training.."

[Corwin]

"I think that's an excellent idea!" Umi says happily. "Much better than the alternative, right Fuu?"

[Ebiris]

"Umi," Fuu says chidingly as she catches on to her friend's ploy, "We're trying not to worry them, after all, it might not be..." her expression turns rather sickened, "that."

[Carthrat]

"Couldn't be wh- oh, he's waking up!" says the kid, looking at his friend, who is indeed rubbing his eyes.

[Corwin]

"Welcome back to the land of the living," Umi says, stepping back slightly so she could see both of the boys. "Thank you for a pleasant fight."

[Carthrat]

"Ugh.. oh, right," he says. "Yeah, it's too easy to get hit," he says.

[Corwin]

"I'm not sure I recognize your style," Umi says thoughtfully, tapping her chin. "Did you train in it here, at the capital?"
