Floor 1 "Wheel": 1-2

[Anastasia]

Thus all three are now across, the rope making the climb trivial to the other two! On the other side, you see that ahead is a heavy steel wall. Four doors are there, each door made of thin looking sheet steel. There's also a few few things on this side of the steel works. Next to the smelting pots is a single level, in the shadow of one of the pots. There's a plaque near the far hatch, where the finished steel vanishes to places unknown. Also, as you cross, a small treasure chest rises out of the ground besides the conveyor, glowing rainbow colors!

However, as all this happens, the siren going off gets louder! A disembodied voice calls, "Initiate Defense and Repair plan Alpha. Repeat, initiate defense plan Alpha!"

[Ebiris]

"Not French, Greek! That's even worse!" Flasheart declares, deciding to get moving. Hurrying to the nearest door on the far wall, he attempts to open it!

[Corwin]

Euphemia can't find it within her to disagree, checking the door next to the one that caught Flasheart's interests.

"Beware Greeks bearing gifts," she recites to her little flying friend as she does so. "Yet even so, could you take a look of what's inside that brightly-shining chest?"

[Anastasia]

That would be the leftmost door! Flasheart pulls on it but it's locked! It's not giving way immediately!

Euphy tries this door! It looks to be openable, but as she touches it, "Warning...unauthorized entry prohibited. Warning..unauthorized entry prohibited!"

"Riiight," The mephit flies towards the chest in the meanwhile!

[Ebiris]

Lacking in brute strength in this incarnation, Flasheart goes to join Euphy at the openable door!

[Corwin]

Euphemia is in the habit of listening to warnings, and decides to try the third door instead.

[Ebiris]

"It'll be a cold day in hell before the Lord Flasheart takes orders from a dirty Greek!" Flasheart declares contemptously as he kicks the door open, showing his utter contempt for the warning.

[Anastasia]

As Euphy reaches the third door, "Alpha initiatted!" At this, as your mephit friend opens up the treasure box, a large, heat scarred, bald man in overalls appears at the break in the conveyor belt. "Ho hum, time to SQUASH some FREAKS that BROKE my CONVEYOR belt!" He picks two chunks of ore, looking to throw them!

Just as this happens, Lord Flasheart opens second door! As he swings it out of the way, a massive shock travels through his body! Lightning arches up through him, cooking him like an overdone goose! He keels over, crumbling into a pile of fine ashes! If one cares to look in the now opened path, they can see a small room rests there. It has a table, a bookshelf and fireplace! How quaint! All for the price of one Lord Flasheart!

Oh yes, and Euphy sees a dull steel stairway going down the opened third door. It's really dark down there and quite a steep stairway.

Rock thrower>Sacchin>Euphy

The rock thrower throws two rocks at Euphy, the pair of ore laden projectiles flying right at her!

But both rocks sail by her, missing!

Sacchin.

Sacchin retaliates by means of longbow.

"I'm no freak! I'm natural!" she yells, furious at the man's presumption.

"I know this one!" Euphemia exclaims, gleefully shooting back at the man. "If we kill you, we get what's inside the chest, right?"

And then she takes cover behind the half-opened door!

Euphy's shot sails wide, hitting the conveyor belt to the side! The big man just grins back, chucking two more rocks, this time at the in the open Sacchin!

WHAM! SLAM! Sacchin is rocked by two rocks, head clobbered harder than a vampire on a bloody rock sundae! Blood flows from her gashed forhead, her entire field of vision turning red-white!

Sacchin, you're up. Do something about Mr. Rocky.

Sacchin returns fire, bitterly ignoring her wounds before retreating around the corner!

It's a nearly perfect shot! The crossbow bolt goes into the stomach of the rock thrower, who gasps and tumbles over! He ends up face down, groaning af ew times before his movement ceases!

With no other enemies in sight (yet), Sacchin quickly dashes over to look in the chest after the Mephit!
