Jaela must have been going over her flashiest spells in her mind just a moment too long, because the devil got bored and tried to hit her ineptly. That, however, decided things for her. Her stance relaxes quite mockingly, as if to make it easier for him to try next time. But Jaela hardly intends to give the devil that chance! Since there's no need to truly go all out and impressively stop time to appear right next to it with that ill-fated charge, she simply boosts her speed and reflexes as she strikes out repeatedly!

It's too easy. A powerful foe, but you're simply better than it. Your spear skewers it half a dozen times in a second, blow after blow tearing great hunks of it. The beast shatters into ice after too many of those, falling apart into nothingness. Only its armor and spear remain.

Jaela smiles at the satisfaction of a job well done. "Nice of him to leave us something," she muses. "Who next?"

"Nicely done," Afina praises quietly before looking at the paintings. "Gith or treant," she concludes, approaching the gith first. "Hello, can you hear me?" And she's back to being vaguely pleasant again.

"Well done," Crystal seconds, "That was expertly played."

The gith looks up, face inexpressive. He studies Afina for several moments, before seeming to lose interest.

"Suit yourself," she says, going to investigate the treant instead. Really why would you even come here if you lacked curiosity? "Hello, can you hear me?" she repeats her now standard greeting to the animate tree.

[Anastasia]

The treant looks at you and a portal appears. It steps through, "Oh, hello," it says in a slow, brutish voice. "I'm Tree!"

[Corwin]

"Thanks," Jaela responds, taking the spoils. She greets the treant with, "Hey back at you! Jaela of Aurora!"

[Anastasia]

"I'm Tree!" The tree repeats.

[Corwin]

"Yes you are! How did you possibly get here?"

[Ebiris]

"I'm Afina," she introduces herself. "What brings you here, Tree?"

[Anastasia]

"Master took me here, but Master's been gone a long time," Tree says. "I keep going."

[Nephrite]

"What was your Master's name, Tree?" Moore asks.

[Corwin]

"How about you come with us?" Jaela offers. "We have the nicest grove!"
