"I don't know, they're looking for Lathander or something," Elena's dressed up like a cat today, down to cat ears. "Tryll took Vivantha, Canderella and Moonlight with him. Want me to get the other two?"

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Iron Dragoon

"Sure. We'll make a group decision on whether or not to wait for them."

Ebony's first, coming in with a nod. Kascha's right behind her, "Oh, you're back! How did it go?"

Iron Dragoon

"Quite well. We have six crystals on loan. They're 18,000 gold each if damaged, so let's not do that. Any luck on your sides?"

Total DM derp moment, refresh me on those tasks?

Basically everyone was checking their own places for info on Secretus or the Sword, or anything that could give us an advantage and let us capture him.

Kascha begins, "I asked, but Seira doesn't know much about him. She's heard the name once, but she's young by cosmic standards. Considering it's a daemon of secrets, it's not really surprising. But she did find something useful out. There's something in place inhibiting divinations about Secretus and giving out false information."

"Unsurprising. Regardless, Sylvie's run into his minions before, and has a fair idea of how they operate. We've gotten the crystals, and I've memorized some spells to prevent escape. Any other ideas?"

"Yes. Surraruthru, the information we got on how to find Secretus was from a divination, right?" Kascha says, "Do you see where I'm going with this?"

I actually can't remember if the information came from a divination or that giant guy we met. I can't remember his name to search for it.

Quick refresher then:

Quote"His name is Secretus," The titan grins, "Almost as bad as Anthraxus. Those daemons have all the imagination of an ant. He resides in Niflheim somewhere, though even I don't know where. All I do know is that the passage to his kingdom is marked by six dead olive trees, each of which has an valeoloth hung from it."

You got more information from a divination spell from Tryll:

QuoteTryll gets the following answer: Find the Weeping Olives and head north, north, north.

He then divined for the location of the Weeping Olives:

QuoteThe Weeping Olives lie in Niflheim.

Iron Dragoon

"To a degree. If there's magic in place to deflect divination, then our information is certainly suspect. Machos told us it was in Niflheim and marked by six dead olive trees with valeoloths hung from them, and Tryll's divination said to continue north. You're thinking it'll be in a different direction?"

Anastasia

"Let's assume Marchos is accurate for now," Kascha says, "Logically, we have to assume that the information about the Weeping Olives and the direction are both in error. All we really know is that it's somewhere on Niflheim. Barring planar strangeness, it has to be in a direction from the Weeping Olives, but it may be so distant that's irrelevant. That's the problem with infinite planes."

Ebony's taken a seat by now, "Perhaps that's why we found a manifestation of the Father and his cult instead. Cast adrift to the whims of evil, he took the chance."

"Well, unless we kind find a guide to Niflheim, we're essentially reduced to wandering. Which is both dangerous and time consuming."

Anastasia

"That's a terrible option, but it's the only one we have," Kascha frowns and sighs, "We'll need to find a yugoloth and make it help us, and in a way that it can't betray us. Oh Seira, this is going to be a trial."
