[Corwin]

Jaela can't help but check if there are three other paths leading here from the other temples even as she returns the greeting with a smile and wave.

[Anastasia]

Jaela doesn't see any, but it's huge and the conditions aren't the best. There could easily be more she's not seeing.

"Jaela of Aurora," The weird returns, "Are you here to embrace Ice or meditate on its nature and finds the coldest revelation?"

[Ebiris]

Stepping onto the platform, Afina walks across it towards the Weird. "The way was challenging, but rewarding. Thank you for allowing us here," she returns.

[Anastasia]

"Afina of Aurora," The weird greets you, "Are you here to embrace Ice or meditate on its nature and finds the coldest revelation?"

Hanna comes forward as well, "Thank you, but I'm here for moral support, so no need to ask me."

[Ebiris]

She's already learned enough to put her own house in order, but further meditation couldn't hurt. That's what that solar in Magmasoul was doing when she showed up to attack him and failed so utterly, wasn't it? And he'd been there a while too, so this sort of meditation requires a commitment of serious time. Time she doesn't really have. "The journey and the wisdom obtained in its course is what I came for. Perhaps one day I will return in search of the Coldest Revelation, but for now I will think on what I have already learned."

[Corwin]

"Oh, umm, I was thinking about meditating a bit," Jaela admits awkwardly after those words. "Is that alright?"

[Ebiris]

"It may take some time," Afina warns, turning back towards Jaela. "Still, if you intend to stay that long I could keep you company and attempt it myself."

[Corwin]

"Mirajane will let me know when it's time," Jaela says, since she'd pretty much die if left here to meditate past her ability to shield herself from cold. Then, looking at the weird she asks, "Any advice on how to go about it?"

[Anastasia]

"We all should, then," Mirajane speaks up, "Let's make it a family affair."

"Oh, alright," Hanna replies, "We aren't going to turn to ice statues, are we?" she asks.

The weird smiles serenely, "You will not. What revelations you find rely on you."

[Ebiris]

Stepping onto the platform with the weird, Afina sits at the edge with her feet dangling off, taking a look down into the vortex. Her eyes unfocus and her breath stills as she slips into a meditative fugue, her skin turning glassy once more. What is the coldest revelation? What facet of Ice remains untapped in her understanding that would put everything in new perspective? Her mind drifts through various ideas as she stares blankly down at the maelstrom of water air and ice beneath her feet.

[Anastasia]

Okay. Jaela, if you're meditating, describe your approach as well.

[Corwin]

She's not attempting to become one with the cold like Afina had earlier in their journey to Absolute Zero. Rather, Jaela finds herself curious about cold. Everything in life, in her experience, has several answers. They've given some of them so far, but which is the right one for her? Is Cold really the purview of evil? Auril might personify it a lot for Jaela, but then again ask anyone about Fire and you're likely to hear about Imix or the devil-loving efreet. From personal experience, however, she knows there's far more to it than that. So where best to learn more about Cold than here?
