His expression turns sour at that. "Yes, it looks like fate chose me to deal with it, in more ways than one." He takes in a breath. "I have some theories, but nothing but that as of currently. I'm actually going to Celestia soon to seek some wisdom on how to best handle the matter."

"I read the relevant briefings, and while meditating on Ice today it hit me. The weapon we need to destroy him has to be blessed and made by someone without parents? I've had a chance to look for a suitable qualification earlier, and found an elemental smith in Brightwater. I even brought back a blade forged by him to Mirima, so if you bless it it should work just fine. Or you could commission as many weapons as needed from him and bless them afterwards. No real need to chase down a scythe that was lost or go to great lengths to reinvent the wheel, is there?"

Moore nods. "There comes a point where doing too much unnecessary work hinders your ability, I agree. I'll look into it as a possibility."

[Corwin]

"One thing I wasn't fully clear on is if we need to do this on a specific Prime, or whether that simply gives us better chances."

[Nephrite]

"Anything is possible." Moore says with a nod. "I'll do some more research and get back with you."

"Let me know if you get stuck. Or ready to go, of course," Jaela says, and then heads outside to prepare for her departure.

I want to go to Fire, and will use Energy Immunity on myself and Dana and the Master if they want it. Standard Aurora buffs will also apply. My greater plane shift destination is Flammar Ideel.

As you prepare, "Oh, Jaela," Elena pops back in next to you, "I think Mei wants to talk to you before you go, too."

Mei. Talk. "Okay. Thanks for the notice!" Jaela tells Elena, changing her path to the temple of the Triune. "Say, could you greet me dressed as a butler when I get back from Fire?"

"I'll thiiiink about it," Elena laughs and vanishes, as the Master quietly adds, "Talk? Her?"

"Exaggeration," Jaela agrees. "But if Mei wants to come it'd be pretty obvious."

[Anastasia]

You find Mei waiting outside of the temple of the Triune. She takes one look at you and nods, falling in step with Dana and the Master.

"So that's mute for I'm coming with you and not taking no for an answer?" Dana asks, a hand on her hip.

Mei nods sharply.

They're mostly going there to talk, which is why Jaela didn't invite Mei. Still, maybe she just wants to travel a bit?

"Do you need a spell to keep the flames away?" Jaela offers,

Mei nods right away, then points at the Mission Readiness Arch.

Jaela casts her own magic that would make them impervious to flames, before stopping just short of the gates. "Okay, so as a refresher. We're going to see Crellen, who is a Lifasan that fled to Kossuth's realm during the Fall and refused to have anything to do with us. Part of it is a sort of vindication for me, but I'm also trying to see if he'd have decent information on the efreet slavers. This is intended as a quick trip, but if a target of opportunity appears I'm for seizing it. Any questions?"
