Jaela sets Mei down and casts Good Hope on all of them, letting the Master and Dana take the lead. Mei will strike at range, outside the immediate melee, while Jaela herself will preempt any magical attacks and judge the level of the opposition they're likely to face for the rest of the approach.

Jaela is briefly tempted to seize the chariot for herself and arrive in style, but dismisses the idea. Even if she knew how to ride or tame the hellhounds, there might be nasty surprises in the chariot itself. It's just too much hassle, overall. That, however, alerts her to how annoying it would be if she had to chase it down and so Jaela materializes two phantom spears that each strike a hellhound!
