"Galariel's in trouble," Afina mutters to Jaela as everyone gets comfortable.

[Corwin]

"He better step up his game, she's legitimately cute," Jaela agrees with Afina, having taken up a seat next to the pixie.

[Anastasia]

Elena squeals and blushes, hands to her cheeks as she beats a hasty retreat. That draws a few subdued laughs from everyone, "On behalf of Aurora," Tepen speaks up, "You have the floor, Donald. Tell us what happened."

"Yeah, well..." Donald takes off his helmet, brushing his hair back. He has the features of an elf with dragon's blood. "Semyaza got his hands on something called the Icon of the Compact. It let him direct Benfal's magics and granted him the magical ability of an archdruid well beyond the 9th circle. It was the root of a lot of the problems in Benfal and the battle against him revolved around that. My understanding's that there wasn't any way to half ass it, they had to use their full divine power on Semyaza to oppose it. Hence all the weather that went wrong."

After a pause to grab a drink of water and gun it down in one shot, "Anyway, they got the Icon back, but not before Semyaza had done too much damage to Benfal. He did even more as a means to cover his retreat. Now if you ask me, that's the sign of compensating for something. No wonder he acts like he does. So then Alicia did something, not sure what. Deity business, none of them will give me the straight story on it. Everyone forgets a few minutes, anathemic knowledge, and Benfal's whole and in Elysium. Thalasia in particular."

[Ebiris]

"If it's that easy to shift a prime into an outer plane, why didn't Semyaza do it from the start? Why isn't Lifasa already in Hell?" Afina asks. "Also, why Elysium and not Sylica?"

[Nephrite]

Moore's nodding attentively until the last part, where he frowns.

It's only a few minutes, sure, but even so...

[Anastasia]

"Don't know," Donald says, "I got out of Seira that it's forbidden, and Seira's not the type to hide information like that unless she has to. All I know is that it has something to do with a gate. It has holes to me too, but I'm sure there has to be reasons and logic here. It's just bullshit since we don't know them."

"That ring any bells for anyone?" Adrian asks, "I'd really like a clue right about now."

[Ebiris]

Afina is ignorant and so says nothing.

[Nephrite]

"Uh, right before the... incident, I heard something." Moore says. "Something about glory and the sky... uh... forty nine? I don't think that helps much, but maybe someone heard something else that makes more sense? I mean, forty-nine to me is seven times seven, but in this case the plane didn't end up as part of Celestia, so..."  Moore offers a small shrug.

[Anastasia]

Jaela recalls something, a tiny fragment that she can barely recall. Just a name and a title - it came up in Hanna's speaking with dead dragons and...somewhere else. Research you want to say, but it's hazy.

You're fairly sure you're forgetting something you read, in the sense of anathemic knowledge rather than just forgetting, too. Isn't the first time you've ran into that problem.

"Sure sounds like anathemic knowledge," Jaela slowly agrees. "I want to say Cantasa Alexandria?"

[Anastasia]

"It's something we need to investigate," Gisfal says, voice firm. "Lifasa is in a similar state as Benfal."

[Nephrite]

"Well, if it's something about knowledge, I could see if I can find the answer in Xiranthador." Moore offers.

[Corwin]

"Do we want to save Lifasa by sending it to Elysium?" Jaela decides to ask bluntly.

[Anastasia]

"Yeah, g'luck. I think they'll only tell an actual deity," Donald grumbles, "Got a bunch more too. All the official congratulations, promises of further aid, celebrations and all that'll follow. You know, the stupid official shit."

Meanwhile Adrian crosses his arms, "Better than Hell if we have to make that choice. We need more information here about this and why it happened."
