"Just had someone try to scy me. High powered variant but I blocked it. How do they always know to do it when we're not in Aurora?"

She casts see invisible so that if it succeeds on any of her companions she'll be forewarned by spotting the sensor.

Anastasia

"Cowards," Mirima frowns, "Do we even notice failed scryings when in Aurora? I had the impression they were blocked within."

"Well, well. Honey, I think we need to be on our toes, the game is afoot." Bubbles says, taking out a little fan and fanning herself. "Hopefully not as ghastly as that Nessian was."

"I suppose it's possible they just routinely scry on all of us daily," Afina admits at Mirima's comment. "Aurora does block even magic of that magnitude."

"That's quite the investment on their parts," Jaela muses, adding a bit sadly, "I'm never scried upon...."

Anastasia

"Scried upon who?" Mirima asks, "Myself in the bath? That would be acceptable," She takes Jaela's arm, smiling.

"Ahem," Bubbles clears her throat, "Charming, dearies, but the voyeurism of our enemies aside, we should not be idle. Still waters lead to stagnation."

She's still trying to lead them to their destination, but if her talking bothers Bubbles Jaela decides to continue quietly. Outward impressions are important, after all.

That does rather kill the conversation, but fortunately no devils immediately appear.

You fly for a little while longer - or something like that, time meaningless here. Ahead lies a tower, perhaps seven or eight stories. It's crumbling and ancient, standing on a slab of sand on top of sandstone. It floats here, lonely and forgotten.

"Want to investigate the lost astral ruins?" Afina asks. About to say that it worked well last time she bites her tongue, since in the end things didn't turn out so well for Annalise after all.

Corwin

"We met plenty of interesting people from such investigations," Jaela agrees, thinking of the Graceful Blow and adjusting her course.

"Ah, adventure. May there be something thrilling to stoke our passions within," Mirima murmurs, hand on the hilt of Woven Gold.

The tower has a few windows you could go through, as well as places the wall's collapsed. There's also a door at the bottom and holes in the roof. It depends entirely how you want to approach it.

"Let's start at the roof and go all the way down?" Jaela proposes, aiming for one of the larger holes up top.

Ebiris

"As good as any," Afina agrees, flying up after Jaela.

Anastasia

The roof is caved in at spots, crumbled. There's the remnants of a stairway down the biggest hole. It leads into a half collapsed room, with further holes in the floor below. From up here, you can see the ruins of what may have once been a den or something similar.

"Anyone here?" Jaela calls out, though she relies on blindsight to really see anyone humanoid-shaped. Looking for any magical signatures also won't go amiss.
