Above the great fortress shudders as you see flying soldiers escape. Aurora's forces pour out along with a few devils, as Baleruk bursts through the side of it. More and more - until the entire think explodes in a flash of green light, so bright as to momentarily blind all of you, even from this great a distance.

As your eyes clear, 'Mission successful,' Crystal sends. 'Returning to Aurora. Losses look to be reasonable.'

'Don't die!' Calleigh relays through Tryll, 'You gotta live so you can see Lifasa restored!'

Bleh, mere seconds too late.

Moore smiles at Ilsenine and continues to wait -- surely, with their most recent gambit foiled, Hell will try and one-up themselves...

"Send out my mother along with a group of chargers," Jaela tells Vul'lath. "They are to cover the retreat of Crystal's forces, and then ensure they can respond swiftly if Mirima and Canderella's detachments run into trouble."

[Anastasia]

"It will be done," Vul'lath promises.

Hanna's group comes forward, "Let's go!" Hanna shouts, covering the retreat. As they fly ou tand meet with Crystal's forces, protecting them...

"Whu-huh?" Calleigh turns to Balyss.

'Already dispatched,' Jaela responds to Mirima. 'My mother should mitigate the losses in the field, too. Canderella can guard the wounded being rotated back to Aurora.'

Trusting in Vul'lath to fulfill her wishes, Jaela then focuses her attention on the gates.

"Harkin is at Gar Malleos," Balyss manages, "Waiting."

Meanwhile, in the sky above - portals open. Hundreds and hundreds all around the battlefield. Thousands - tens of thousands. A devil army begins to floor in, horrid banners and grim tidings emerging from all directions.

[Yuthirin]

'Color me unsurprised.' Tryll says.

[Corwin]

"Then it's good we already have a plan for striking at Gar Malleous. Who would you like to bring along--" Jaela cuts herself off, blinking, and then with a curt "Excuse me" her image winks out. Tryll and Surraruthru could lead that, she supposes, while she really needs to give this attack the attention it deserves.

"Vul'lath, I believe it is time to send out Gisfal," she says, starting the task of bringing Aurora closer to their forces still engaged with the devils inside the Throne.
