Jaela appears once more, this time before the Master. "You're needed," she tells him simply. "I want Gisfal to lead our troops, and he can't do that while harassed by the devil commander."

[Ebiris]

"Telepathic message from Gathgorian, just devil bravado," Afina says dismissively. She hears Gisfal's call for aid but maintains her station at the gates, few else able to perceive infiltrators with her skill, and besides Jaela's got operational command so there's no sense giving orders that might conflict with hers.

[Anastasia]

Adrian scowls, "Bastard. He didn't try anything else with it?"

Meanwhile, the Master nods and departs his troops without a word, bounding off into battle.

[Corwin]

Jaela carefully avoids observing the Master's no doubt awe-inspiring battle, having the utmost trust that he will crush all opposition. Instead, she focuses on the surge for the Throne. Three forces, working in tandem; Makaril's shared command with Mirima, her mother's reinforcements in the form of chargers, and the new front Tannin and Moonlight are to open. If it is not enough, she will dispatch more forces to strike from more directions and drown the defenders in numbers.

[Ebiris]

"Just bravado," she shakes her head. "He mentioned the fated hour, a reminder that I'll want Jaela nearby."

[Anastasia]

"You need more help with him?" Adrian asks, "If you need my sword, you have it."

She nods to Adrian at that offer. "It'll depend where and when he turns up and who's on hand."

[Anastasia]

Meanwhile, Jaela can see the battle for the Throne play out.

'We're breaking through,' Hanna sends in your mind, 'I'm at the magic device they're using now.'

'Tannin's down and gravely injured, cursed injuries. We're trying to evacuate him,' Moonlight sends into your mind. 'Have healers ready.'

[Corwin]

'Understood,' Jaela responds gravely, her avatar appearing before Priest. "Moonlight is evacuating Tannin with cursed injuries. Prepare to treat him on consecrated grounds and have acolytes meet them at the gates and bring him in."

[Anastasia]

"We will see to it," Priest says, as Priest stands outside, tending to the wounded. He pauses a moment to look out, "How goes the battle?"

[Corwin]

"We're winning, but Hell's reserves are infinite. Only one of the priority targets took to the battlefield so far," Jaela tells him, without going into detail. "Do you have enough staff to care for our casualties at this rate?"

[Anastasia]

"Yes," Priest says, "For now."

[Corwin]

Jaela nods, leaving Priest to his duties. She keeps an eye on Tannin's rescue and evacuation, while mentioning to Vul'lath, "Please adjust our deployment strategy where it comes to rest and recovery. When tired healers are are rotated back to Aurora, keep some of them in reserve to boost Priest's staff. A cleric that's exhausted her best spells could still mean the difference between life and death as she stabilizes our wounded."

Ahead, Afina sees it. A firre eladrin, carrying Tannin, who is bleeding profusely. His entire front is stained red, the eladrinf lying out of the chaos towards him.

Meanwhile Jaela can see it - the overall battle is shifting in Aurora's favor, at least for now. Gisfal triumphs over an enemy general, and in that you're pushing Hell back a bit.

'The device is down!' Hanna sends to all of you, 'If that's the last trick they have, we're well on route to capturing the Throne.'

Afina zips out and casts haste on the eladrin (and anyone else nearby) before zipping back to her post!
