Meanwhile...'Got it,' Hanna says.

'Tannin's going to make it,' Priest sends back to Jaela. 'Just in time.'

Meanwhile Afina looks out - and a portal opens near Aurora's gate. A great black, gaping void, from a torrent of the same black erupting out from it towards Aurora's gates - and the soldiers coming in and out there.

Luckily Afina's nearby, a green ray projecting out from her fingertip to touch and collapse the portal!

Afina dodges and avoids the darkness, which hits the outer gates and sphere of force, making it shiver and crack. But no more, quickly repairing itself.

Afina lowers her head in respect for Moonlight's sacrifice. She'll be safe back in Elysium, but have no further part in the battles for Lifasa. The first of their elite to fall, and to a mere trap as well... it's not a good sign.

[Corwin]

'Understood,' Jaela responds again, emotions in check. It never gets easier to send out others, no matter the justifications of conserving their strength.

Out loud, she tells Vul'lath, "Please inform Gisfal that the Throne is in our hands, and Makaril is eliminating lingering pockets of resistance. Does he require assistance?"

[Anastasia]

"No," Vul'lath says, "He does not as of this moment. He is confident."

As Afina bows her head? The sky cracks into bands of color - red, white, blue, green and black. Like tendrils they reach across the dying sky, as a vast roar echos about the battlefield, so loud as to...

No need for a Fortitude save in Aurora, but go ahead and react.

Afina's head jerks up and she studies the bands of colour cracking across the sky. What do they mean?
