Yuthirin

'The proxy option might be all we have. My only other lead is currently slaughtering demons on Pazunia.'
What if they're not stars at all? What if the night sky is full of titanic far-off lidless eyes, staring in all directions across eternity?

Anastasia

'She sounds like an admirable person,' Miranda sends back. 'I've never even met Tempus, let alone serve him enough to become his proxy. I may as well try to get the Jormugandr to stop eating his own tail.'
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Yuthirin

'I'm pretty sure we know one of his kids. Grandkids? Something like that.'

'Yes, he has many spawn across Ysgard,' Miranda says, 'The grandchildren are powerful and the children unfathomably mighty.' A chuckle over your voice, 'Why am I not surprised?'

'Bah. We'll figure it out. Most of our work will be done off of primes anyway, I'm hoping.'

'So...you really want to kill Shar?' Miranda asks, 'Selune's been trying for a long time and she hasn't done it, you know.'

'I don't want to kill Shar. I'm going to kill Shar. Big difference. As for Selune...nice woman, she didn't smite me when I flirted with her. She's alright with me. Hell, I might be able to bring her around. But...sometimes it takes a mortal to do a god's job. Pseudo-mortal.'

'...what?' Miranda finally says again, voice flat. 'What sort of life do you lead? You sound like a bad bard's tale.'

'It's a strange life, but it's been fun.'

'Are you even a man?' Miranda asks, almost plaintively. 'You sound like one, but Dana gives me the impression it's not really the same thing.'

'I'm the closest analog you'll get from my race. We have three genders. Relationship dynamics are interesting.'

'Then come back to my room - second floor, the last room on the northern side. I'd rather have this discussion in person.' A beat, 'Keep Calleigh down there, though.'

Yuthirin

'Of course. I'm always keen on explaining more about my race.' Tryll says, bypassing walls entirely on his way to Miranda's room.

Miranda's room is bright. It's outside-ward, windows letting lots of sunlight. A room with a big, fancy bed, a dresser with a mirror, several weapon and armor racks (all full of various implements of war) and a table full of glass bottles, each with a different colored liquid within. Miranda herself is sitting at her dresser, nude and brushing her platinum blonde hair. Half turning to you, uncaring of her nudity, "So explain," she says aloud, "I feel there's so much more to learn, since forces beyond us move to encourage me to work with you."

'It's a rather excessively long story, I'm afraid. Where would you like me to start?' Tryll replies, unperturbed by her uncaringness.
