A Return

[Anastasia]

"Balance," Omni rumbles, "Like me." he reaches out and pounds his chest, then adds, "Balance."

[Corwin]

"Balance," Seira repeats, reaching over to tap his upper arm. "The various strengths you learned from the elements, working side by side. And in doing so, cover the individual weaknesses of each element. Isn't that beautiful?"

[Anastasia]

"Yessss," Omni says, and with his gaze on you, "It is all so beautiful, Seira. It is all beautiful."

[Corwin]

"That's all I ever hoped for," she says, smiling happily. "For you to see that this world is beautiful."

[Anastasia]

"I'm happy. The world is beautiful." Omni pats the ground, "Everything is good here. But there are bad things in other places? Like how good kindling can be mixed with wet wood?"

[Corwin]

"I won't lie. There are. Just as there is law and chaos, beauty is balanced by ugliness. Evil exists, from Shar who wishes to destroy everything, to petty tyrants that enslave others for profit, or simply because they can. I oppose them."

[Anastasia]

"Good. Good. That is good and it is Good." Omni agrees with that, going silent.

At this Amaryl perks up, "You understand about good and evil, Omni?" She approaches and sits next to him, resting one of her small hands on his huge arm.

"I understand." Omni agrees. "Things are clear as air here. There are good people, like Seira, she gave me a home. There are bad people who wouldn't do that."

[Corwin]

Aww, that's so sweet!

"And speaking of making your home even more inviting, would you like anything else?" she uses the chance to ask Omni.

[Anastasia]

"A wife," Omni says, "Wives look like fun."

Amaryl starts to say something, stops and just shuts her mouth, smiling.

[Corwin]

Seira taps her lips. "You'll need to look for one. Wives are fun! But they're also your best friend and the person you think about the most, and those things only come from spending time with them and getting to know them properly. If you take your time and get to know the Cauldron's residents, if you befriend them, I believe that in time you would find the one just for you."

[Anastasia]

"Like a scavenger hunt? I watched one yesterday," Omni says. "You look until you find the prize?"

[Corwin]

"The part about making friends? It can be like that. But the second part, about finding the right one for you? That's a bit of a misnomer, since you don't actually do the finding. It's something that happens when you don't look for it, like how time seems to pass quicker if you're having fun and slower if you're bored and just waiting on something."

[Anastasia]

"So if you don't look for it, how do you find it?" Omni asks, tilting its head to the side.

[Corwin]

"You embrace earth here, at first. Patience and belief that the moment will come. Then, if you think it has, fire and water. You flow in pursuit of your desires, follow your passion and don't get discouraged too easily by the first setback. You overcome them, as air streams across any obstacles in its path, while maintaining that lively aspect all along. That, too, could be what draws others to you even as you exercise your patience."

Seira glances over at Amaryl. "What do you think, Dear? Anything to add from your perspective?"

[Anastasia]

"No, I think you managed all of it," Amaryl's smiling and trying to hold it in, "You said it very well."

Omni merely nods at this, "I will learn from it. I will find friends and a wife."
