You know much about things - and that is a xag-ya, a strange and alien creature native to the Positive Energy Plane. Little is known about them, for they rarely communicate and follow their own plans, as well as seldom deal with other creatures. Being aggressive like this is rare but not unheard of.

Is there a common language on the positive energy plane?

No. Some use telepathy, some use various languages - Ignan and Auran are popular - and others simply don't communicate in meaningful ways. The natives of the Positive Energy Plane tend to be odd, even by planar standards.

Would my check have revealed if these have a language? I

[Anastasia]

Xag-ya rarely communicate, and when they do they use telepathy or an elemental language. It's rare in any event, they don't seem to favor any language.

Ah, what the hell, it's worked before.

Alyssa shouts in Ingan, "Xag-ya, we mean only to travel! No fighting, no pain for either of us!"

Alyssa takes a moment to address the others as it pauses, "It thinks you two and those you serve are abominations."

She does wait for it to continue.

[Anastasia]

"Great," Jarem murmurs, "Get it to talk," he says, "It seems willing to talk to you."

Emily gasps, "No! Mom is not an abomination! That's horrible, how dare it? How dare you?!" Emily shouts up at it.

[Iron Dragoon]

"Emily, it thinks completely different than us. It's logic isn't our logic. Let it continue."

[Anastasia]

There's no response, but it isn't immediately attacking again, either.

Alyssa turns back and continues speaking to it, "Man, woman: peaceful. Searching only. Xag-ya: unknown, alone. All go separate?"

[Anastasia]

The strange being is inert a few more moments, before drifting up and off, seeming not to attack any more. Are you safe?
