[Corwin]

"A while past seventeen," Seira reminisces. "I took advantage of how sheltered the humans were here back then and enlisted at... thirteen, was it? They had troubles interpreting elf years or realizing half-elves aged differently. Still, things worked pretty well for me, I think! And this inn? I came up with the design before I even had a drop of draconic blood in me, because dragons were impressive, legendary beings!"

[Anastasia]

"That may be unbeatable," Oraga agrees, "Few mortals have the strength of clarity and purpose at such a young age."

[Corwin]

"If it serves to drive others to excel, it's all good," she muses, heading for the top of the hill and Elle's shop. "And in any case, we took in walk-ins even during my time, so conceivably someone like Sylvie's kid could join up and shoot through the ranks without spending years training to become a cadet."

[Anastasia]

"A strong child like that is unnatural," Oraga says, "I would think him demon blooded if I did not know otherwise."

[Corwin]

"Demon blood won't account for much, he's practically an avatar," Seira mutters. "Seriously, I'm more in awe that his body can contain the power safely. Still, if the local archmages don't see a danger he should be fine."

[Anastasia]

"It is unnatural," Oraga seconds. "The norms are broken. Chaos reigns. The chidl may well be an instrument of Chaos, no matter what the mortal locals think."

[Corwin]

"Speaking of Chaos, I had an artifact that was a shard of Chaos given form as a warhammer. It makes me wonder about how hard it would be to forge one that's a shard of Good. Have you run across any such artifacts at some point, Oraga? Or been privy to methods for their making?"

[Anastasia]

"Not directly," Oraga begins, people passing by as you hear it.

'Seira,' The solemn but kind voice of Pistis Sophia sounds in your mind. 'I am impressed with Xera's progression and growth.'

[Corwin]

Raising a finger to signal to Oraga that something is occupying her attention, Seira responds! 'I'm honored to hear such praise from you, Pistis Sophia. And I apologize for recalling her, though you must've heard it was for a good cause.'

[Anastasia]

'May you be guided wisely ahead,' Pistis Sophia concurs. 'Xera has great potential, I wish to see her live up to it.'

Emily being on the rocks and Xera being the praised one. Did not see that coming in game prep.

[Corwin]

It happens!

'Thank you! Amaryl and I wish the same for both our children.'

[Anastasia]

'Come to my realm when you have time,' Pistis Sophia invites, 'We can walk the mists and spar together. I am certain you will find it enlightening. Xera has.'

[Corwin]

'Thank you for the invitation," Seira responds quite happily. 'I'll do it as soon as I am able!'

[Anastasia]

'Until then,' Pistis Sophia's voice says, then silence once more.

[Corwin]

"Sorry, I had to take that," Seira apologizes to Oraga. "We got an invitation to Celestia, although it's nothing we have to move on immediately. "Now, you were saying not directly, so you do have some second-hand knowledge of the process?"
