"Informally, I'd talk to them and let them choose," Abagail says thoughtfully, "There's a lot of space and a lot of history there."

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Corwin

"The choice should be theirs," Seira agrees, "although if they still haven't broken free of the past in one generation, an outside boost might do them some good. After all, even Kesse and its neighbors are turning around, if reluctantly at times."

A nod to that and...

Ball is in your court, go ahead and move the conversation to the next thing or move on as you please.

Corwin

I think I'll revisit some of this stuff another chance! For now I'll get some of the cheese as souvenirs for Amaryl and go see Tynave and Oolu!
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

Okay.

Chyral is bigger. If nothing else, the sea elf village has grown, prospered. The fields of seaweed and kelp are larger, the elves more numerous. Merely approaching you can see more and...

Go ahead and set yourself up.

Her magic has altered her form and Oraga's slightly into sea elf bodies, but that is the only change Seira makes. It is interesting to visit Chyral after all this time, as she hadn't kept as close an attention on it as she had with the surface world. Still! Oolu shouldn't be too hard to find, and she could always make a stop at Tynave's house. Worst case, she'll examine the gate to Water and ask around near it if all else fails.

You notice something right off - the water around Oraga lightly boils, heat coming from it. Yet no steam or bubbles escape far from it.

You don't see Oolu outside, but a few sea elves are waving. "Traveler, traveler," one burbles, "Deep Sashelas commands us to be hospitable, come and rest, friend."

Corwin

Why do I think that is? Knowledge/Arcana, Knowledge/Planes and Knowledge/Religion taking 10 are at 82.

"Sure thing!" Seira readily agrees. "I was hoping to see Oolu, do you know if he's around?"
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

It's simply the rules of hospitality for travelers. Nothing too special about it. Trips through the sea can be long and dangerous, sea elves watch out for each other.

"Oolu is here," The elf agrees, "Did you come to meet or see him?"

Corwin

No, why do I think Oraga is steaming?

"I came to meet him! We're old friends!" Seira responds quite cheerfully.

Anastasia

Ooooh. Just a reflection of his nature.

"Yes and - ma'am?" The sea elf peers at Oraga, "Is everything alright?"

"I'm fine," Oraga says shortly, water bubbling around him.

"Oraga is just a bit fiery," Seira tells them. "It's nothing harmful!"
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

"Well." The elf eyes Oraga some more, but lets it go. "Magic? Is she a wizard?"

Corwin

"I'm a wizard," Seira responds. "Oraga is my bodyguard. The root cause of the observed condition is magic, yes!"

You are lead along - and there's something new. A classical, pillared temple has been added past all the caves, white stone lightly crusted with algae and other sea growths.

As you go to that, you hear a particular prayer. 'Seira, guide my blade, for I go into the night knowing I may never again see the dawn.' Yegola, a warrior sworn to your name. A hunter of the dead and darkness, an exterminator of no small skill. He works in Kesse, exploring Sanaxt and Evrai as well to eliminate the places dark creatures spawn. 'I see the sign of Shar in the darkness ahead. Protect me, amen.'
