[Iron Dragoon]

"Not really. I think it's personal to the individual. Some... Realization, perhaps. Or rather, acknowledgment of something. It triggered for Emily when she mentioned smiting evil; she seemed pretty happy about that, as an aside. It happened for you when you tried to look into it. Both of those were things that interested each of you."

[Anastasia]

"Action oriented," Jarem nods a bit to himself, grabbing a bit of bacon and gnawing on it before saying, "Action oriented. Personalized. Let's test this. Right now I want to figure out how to maximize this. If I figure out ways to do so and do so, does it mean it happens again?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"It's possible and worth a try. So, how to maximize it... Being forthright with your personal goals and interests could reveal it, so helping you accomplish those might trigger it. Following through on those things will make you better... But how to solve the conundrum of the power... It triggered when you looked at it happening to Emily, so... Hindsight is a personal spell, so I can't give it to you... Miracle isn't strong enough to duplicate it, I don't think... So... Perhaps an illusion to replicate the vision for you? Or a new spell that will let you see what I do while in Hindsight so you can inspect it happening. That would let you inspect it as it happened to both Emily and yourself, giving you the ability to see it as it happened while also knowing what it felt like."

Allysa absently pulls out her journal and begins scribbling down notes, runes, spell circles, and magic formulas.

[Anastasia]

"I can manage something like it, anyway," Jarem muses, "Still though...how else can we maximize it?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"As I said, if we can understand how that bond is formed, then we might be able to base spells off of it, or extend the effects to others. Or share them between ourselves."

[Anastasia]

"Yeah, if, but...." Jarem says, "Damn, I need more, but I'm on the right track. Still though, do you think we can reproduce permanent gains in a spell?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"I don't think a permanent effect is reasonable... Well, maybe if we can somehow connect it to a true name... Or those one-off War Weavers... It's something that seems to be from Io's power, so it's likely driven by something mortal's can't touch. A god might be able to if they understood it enough... A temporary effect is likely far more achievable. That should be our first goal. If we can make a temporary spell, then we can work on a permanent one, though with far more difficulty, I think."

[Anastasia]

"Mmm." Jarem murmurs, lost in thought. "Still though, that's far away. As for -"

"Alyssa," Emily strides back in, "You're finally up. How are you?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"Better. Annoyed. Enraged. Vengeful. But alive, thanks to you two. And whole thanks to your healing. We were discussing that power that seems to be triggering for you two."

[Anastasia]

"I was wondering about that even more," Emily admits, "I want to talk to my Mom about it a lot, but we're still not on the best terms," Blushing and looking away, "So um, any progress?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"Well, I think it has something to do with your two's personal goals and interests. It triggered for you when you mentioned smiting evil, and I know that's something you've felt a lack of considering I tend to get out of direct fights, and it triggered for Jarem when he took a look at it triggering for you, and he was interested in figuring it out. Jarem's looking for ideas on how to maximize it right now. Have any?"

[Anastasia]

"Not immediately," Emily says, "But if it's based on our desires, then the first step is figuring out what we want to do."

Jarem hums at that, "About what I thought. Right now I sincerely want to figure this out, but what if it's also desires you don't consciously realize?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"If it is things you want, then it's likely that unconscious wants play a role too. Tough to test either way, though."

[Anastasia]

"Plus, whomever is causing this has an agenda," Jarem continues, "So I'd bet you good money that certain desires and interests are promoted over others, on that suits their agenda. I'm tentatively thinking Io, but we could be wrong. From what I remember of my studies, Io isn't too involved that manner of thing."

"Well...no one likes Shar, so that's a place to start?" Emily suggests, "But that's a point. We're not just being given power for no reason, are we?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"Well, your mother said she experienced it as well, correct? For it to be given to the Divine and the mortal... Odd."
