Latha bursts ablaze with sunshine at the same time, the two of you pushing the shadows away. They  move and hiss as living things, smoking ethereally from the light.

"Stay and perish," Latha intones, already moving forward.

Syala just glares at them, not a single word.

The shadows recoil, flee. Flee like a wave rippling back, leaving a large zone around the three of you that they dare not intrude into.

She expects they'll grow braver with numbers or with a superior force driving them, but either's fine with Alicia. If they bunch up even more it just makes them easier to slay, so for now she simply advances and lets the shadows... shadow her. "Allema is the priority for now," she murmurs to her companions.

[Anastasia]

A nod as you reach the sinkhole. The ground crumbles at the edge, about 20ft in diameter with a 30ft drop before you see a stone floored bottom.

[Ebiris]

It's a lot smaller in person than she pictures from the yugoloth's memory. Regardless Alicia drops down into the sinkhole and looks around.

[Anastasia]

You descend down. Here is a simple room with a passage east and a passage west. Both quickly curve and slope down, out of immediate sight.

You hear it as you walk down the slope. The faintest rustle, the noise of the ethereal. You turn in tim ewith Latha and Syala to see them. Four shadows emerging from the northern wall, approaching you in a dead sprint. Each is throbbing, pulsing. In their center is a fleshy, tumorous black sphere, tendrils of it connecting all through the shadow's body.  They're coming right at the four of you, already smoking and sizzling from Latha's sunshine.

They howl unearthly the moment they're out of the walls, lamenting screams as they fly right towards all of you.
