The work takes you a few hours, but when you're finished, you feel as if you have a few more hints towards your goal.

I don't have anything else pressing, since I'm waiting on Melia to get back with news from Brightwater. I'll have Grias send a note to Gold to ask him if he'd be interested in spending some time in Hope's Landing as a smith. If not, that is ok, but Moore would appreciate references to other people Gold might reccomend, in that case.

[Anastasia]

You're fortunate - it's not long before Melia returns, eating a roll with meat baked right in. She munches on it slowly as she says, "Heard you had an outbreak of war up here. News reached Brightwater this morning."

[Nephrite]

"I admit, I wasn't expecting them to try and attack us here." Moore says. "It didn't end up well for them, so there must've been another reason they tried."

[Anastasia]

Melia considers a moment or two, a long bite before she says, "Yeah. Grapevine's going crazy about it. So this was just a feint, you think?"

[Nephrite]

"I do. I think they were hoping for more with it." Moore says. "I think they were testing something, perhaps to see how quickly they could deploy their portals here."

[Anastasia]

"Huuuuh." Melia says it slowly, as if chewing on the information. Then she chews on some more bread and meat before, "I also heard from Grias that there's been attacks on Celestia's holdings beyond this realm."

[Nephrite]

"One could argue this was a diversion, but..." Moore shakes his head. "That doesn't make any sense at all. Unless they managed to attack some holding of ours that had a key that let them get to Jovar or something, it wasn't worth it."

[Anastasia]

"When the enemy does something that doesn't make sense, it means you're the one who needs to catch up," Melia says, "We just don't know the why of what they did." Munching on more of her meal before sitting back, "Which leads right to guessing games. Great way to piss away a night drinking, not so great for forming strategy."

[Nephrite]

"Agreed." Moore says. "I imagine they're..." a gesture up above himself at that, "Already working on that. At any rate, what news did you bring back?"

[Anastasia]

"Yeah, I got a few groups lined up. All of them with good reputations and moral standing," Melia says, "How large a force are you looking for?"
