Keep an eye on my avatar, then, Seira invites him, before collecting Oraga with her other self and sending the two of them into Balmuria. Forcing her way past the Mythal might be possible, but she merely uses the honorary Crimson Guard token she has for its operation, and directs the two of them to appear outside Calley's home.

It's not too hard. The mansion Janson bought so long ago is still in fine shape, kept well and quiet in the Western Reaches of Balmuria.

Calley's outside, sitting in the lower branches of a big oak tree. He's leaning back against the trunk and staring at the sky, expression faraway, eyes drooping downward slowly.

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

"Hello again," Seira greets him. "What are you looking at?"

"The sky." Calley says, "I like to daydream that if I think hard enough, the moon'll come down and fall on Shar's stupid head."

The weather is pleasant out here today, the faintest hint of a sea breeze smelled and felt.

"Selune will certainly be pleased with that," Seira says cheerfully. "I've been thinking of taking a more active role with you, which is why I'm here. Having knowledge at the tips of your fingertips and the power to use it is impressive, but experience is not something you could just be handed. So why not help you out, since you seemed so eager to act?"

"That sounds like a grown up wants you to do something," Calley responds, looking down from his perch. "What is it?"

"That sounds like a pessimist," Seira responds in turn, grinning at him. "I had a bit of spare time, and I decided to see if I couldn't give you what you wanted. It occurs to me that I can provide you with opportunities that for all your power you wouldn't gain on your own, but the choice is always yours. Do you want to have a more exciting childhood while learning from your successes and growing from your mistakes? Or would you prefer to be guarded as you are now, and to sneak out on your own to other planes whenever it hits your fancy as you have been?"

Calley looks down  and after a beat, "That sounds like you want me to eat my vegetables. But...It might be what Mom wouldn't do, so I'm listening."

"I want to give you more options, Calley. You've heard the stories of Afina, haven't you? Yet while she is most famous for being the terror of devilkind, Afina also holds an impressive reputation for her creations. Had she not taken a sabbatical after freeing Lifasa, her mastery of golems would have gained as much reknown as the artifacts forged by her will and magic. Of little notice, however, is the incredible mastery of the elements that she had managed, and you might realize I'm somewhat of an expert in the field. All great deeds, all legends in their own right... and perhaps if you try a bit of each, you will find something that speaks to you in a way only practical experience can provide?"

Having elaborated on her intentions, Seira says, "This time, I asked Gond for a favor. He has a daughter who is a master craftsman. I figured you might try working together and seeing what happens. If you both like it, perhaps you could do it again. And if it doesn't work out, I'll be back in a week with another idea."

Calley's quiet before he hops up, "Alright," he says, "It sounds fun. I can make things, too."

Seira nods, since she expected as much. Anyone with that level of power experiments! She remembers that well.

And it should be enough for Gond to come to a decision, provisional though it may be, so she raises her eyes skywards and waits to hear it.

Well then!

A moment later, a swirling portal appears before Calley.

"After you," Seira tells Calley.

Calley promptly hops right into the portal.

Seira follows while asking of Oraga, Please tell Calley's family that I will be looking after him, and bring him back safely afterwards?
