It is as well as mixed with something that tries to reverse your local time at the same time, as far as your body is concerned. In other words, return you to being naught but a baby. Fortunately you're not subject to such a thing.

[Corwin]

"An affect of actual reversal?" Seira asks curiously. "Would you mind sharing a few tales of how it was used in the past?"

[Anastasia]

"With hostility, mostly," Chrona admits, "Are you familiar with the Lost Layers of Arborea?"

[Corwin]

Do I actually know IC?

[Anastasia]

You're a deity and on really good terms with Morwel, so yes, that's reasonable. Fair point asking since I wasn't sure if Seira had run on it IC yet or not.

[Corwin]

"Yggdrassil and your headquarters, amongst others?"

[Anastasia]

'Right," Chrona agrees, "Now aging back mortal creatures is frowned on. They're meant to die and become spirits, but chronomancy could manage by copying some of what the Lost Layers do to visitors. It's the same idea, weaponized."

[Corwin]

"So that extra-expensive wizard spell returning someone's youth only the once is artificially limited?"

[Anastasia]

"Wizard's Grace?" Is the confirmation you get. "My understanding is that like time magic, restoring mortal youth or even giving them immortality is not as difficult as you would think, were all artificial limits removed and the Weave allowed to work unfettered. No, mortals are meant to pass and the greater ones are meant to find immortality through various means - the easiest is always to become an outsider without dying, barring measures of predatory undeath, which have vast drawbacks."

[Corwin]

"Yep, that's the one," Seira agrees. She despises expensive spells on principle, and this is even more annoying by being one-shot magic. "Good point there. I could always reincarnate someone like that, yes."

Turning her mind to the problem at hand, she asks, "So to fix this thing, do I boost the proper flow of time to counter the backwards inertia?"

[Anastasia]

"Exactly. Divine will should suffice," The Quarut says, "Try so, it will not be overly difficult for you now."

[Corwin]

Seira does so!

[Anastasia]

And like that, time again refreshes and restores itself back to normal.

[Corwin]

Seira gives the staircase a pleased look and continues her ascent!
