Regrouping with Marie, Alicia has her proxy lower her teleport interdiction so they can open gates between here and Sylica, evacuating dao prisoners and any particularly mistreated workers where some will be held prisoner and others will be cared for and repatriated to their homes, meanwhile an occupation force from Sylica comes over to secure the place while other workers present will be employed to advise the occupiers on how things function here so they can take over the running of the place and allow the rest of the workers here to be removed to Sylica for their own eventual repatriation (unless any really want to stay here, though any that do will be looked at oddly and vetted to ensure they're not spies or saboteurs).

Anastasia

There is one immediate problem as you move to go, "We need to deal with this first," Sanzha follows, pointing at the befouled water still flooding in. Even as it purifies, it's still flooding.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

"Ah... I was never much good at fixing magic items," Alicia admits.

Marie can you lower the teleport block and start moving prisoners to Sylica and look after our forces coming through? I need Latha to come to where I am.

Once Marie does that, Alicia's avatar handles things on the Sylica end and opens a gate between Latha and the purification center.

Since Latha has the item creation feats and Alicia has the divine purification mojo lets see if we can repair this thing and change it into a proper purifier rather than condenser?

Anastasia

"Then I'll at least manage the waters," Lady Sanzha says, turning her magic to that.

It's not hard to get Latha through. She comes to it right off, inspecting it with your magic shielding her. Sanzha is busy in the background working away, while Jessica watches. "It is an interesting device," Latha finally says, "It does indeed purify in part, but it also shunts a part - now clear thanks to the buildup of ages being cleansed. Changing it is possible." A consideration, "A mage well versed in metals would be helpful here as well, the work is specialized and would do better than with greater magic brute forcing solutions."

"Lets keep it stable for the moment, I'll see if Yandrazt can be spared from the Cauldron," Alicia says as her avatar takes a quick trip to the Cauldron to try and recruit a gnomish metal mage to help with their little brain-trust here.

Anastasia

Quick check: Any objection, Seira?

Go with my blessing, metal gnome~
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

Soon enough Yandrazt is there, working away with Latha. The two are busy, utterly absorbed in the task.

"Sister," Jessica calls, "Will be able to safely use to extract metals, if we desire?"

"Once we've got everything up and running, anyway," Alicia says, floating over towards Jessica now since most of the work is being done by Latha and Yandrazt. "It'll work as well for us as it did for the dao - the water's full of dissolved rare metals as much as poison, and the line between the two blurs a bit."

Anastasia

A moment's smile, "I only have one question then, sister. How strong was that beast you purified, for Faridoon to put his hopes into it?"

#400
"I wish I could even tell you," Alicia smiles faintly. "It never had a chance to show off its power, I eroded it to nothing before it could threaten Sanzha or myself." She looks over at the broken metal sphere now. "The power of aeons worth of poisons, condensed and crystallised into a god-slaying weapon? No one will ever know what it might have been capable of."

Anastasia

A free hint:

Aura of Poison (Ex)

30ft, DC 53 Fort, 2d6 all six ability scores/4d6 all six ability scores, secondary damage is by round instead of by minute. This is an epic poison. The save is required each round a creature is within 30ft of it.

Corroding Touch (Su)

...

Materials of all kinds can be eroded by the Heart of Poison's touch. Even magical barriers such as walls of force or a prismatic sphere are subject to this corrosion.

...

Jessica smiles wryly, "It's almost too bad you had to destroy it, sister. It sounds like it could have been powerful."

"It almost sounds like you're disappointed I didn't get beaten up," Alicia says suspiciously, before leaning closer and lowering her voice. "Honestly I felt sorry for him too. Sanzha has a very emasculating laugh."

Anastasia

Jessica cracks a smile at that, "The General or the poison?" she asks. "You're also right." Keeping her voice down, "I've learned as a wife that the coldest, cruelest thing I can do is to undercut Roald's sense of masculinity. I would pity him, too."

"Not enough to stop of course, he made his bed..." she sighs a little and looks at the metal sphere once more. "He sounded so confident, too."
