[Anastasia]

It rings a vague bell - a long forgotten mortal wizard who became a lich. Known as a sage of considerable talent and skill, vanished long ago and thought destroyed.

[Iron Dragoon]

"The lich? He was destroyed a long time ago, no? Then this is extremely valuable. Fascinating. We'll have to make replicas and move them into the tower."

Alyssa heads to the nearest one and starts reading it over.

[Anastasia]

The tablets are massive - hundreds of feet long and wide. Each one has row after row of tiny writing, carved into them. Each row must have thousands and thousands and thousands of words, and a vast number of rows per slab.

Bastian lands next to you, "It is no easy task, there is a great store of knowledge here."

[Iron Dragoon]

"What do you think of pulling the same trick as with the bank? I'm torn on trying to move them."

[Anastasia]

"Bad idea," Bastian says, "There's guardians. Strong ones." Shaking his head, "Saw what happened to the last person who tried that."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Oh? What sort of guardians?"

[Anastasia]

"Nagas, an entire coven of them," Bastian says, "Strong ones, damn strong ones. They have minions too, isn't worth it."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Are they amiable to speaking? If we want to make copies, having them on our side would be smartest."

[Anastasia]

"I haven't seen them except for that," Bastian shakes his head, "Couldn't tell you, but they sure didn't look interested. They were too busy murdering."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa considers. "Well, let's try, at least. Anything you want to do to prepare?"

[Anastasia]

"Reinforcements," Bastian says flatly, "Preparations. This isn't a battle to do on a whim, Alyssa. Unless you want your road to end in a tomb.""

[Iron Dragoon]

"Well, I don't want to fight, I want to talk. Let me think for a moment..."
