That get performed, I assume?

"There's only one soul, there's nothing to be done if you ruin it beyond repair," Kaja says, speaking up from his meal, brushing away crumbs of bread.

"Dangerous, foolish, lucrative. The third so often overrules the wisdom of listening to the other two," The Authority says, "Finding your true name is not nearly so hazardous."

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

you are correct

Moore nods. "Trust me, I know. I don't plan on actually doing it, but the knowledge of how, or what is involved may help when it comes time to put everything into practice. I knew someone in Aurora who found their true name and they became quite a bit more powerful." He smiles after that. "Still clumsy, though."

Anastasia

"Who was that?" The Authority inquires.

"Let me guess, Baleruk?" Kaja asks, "It sounds like something he'd do."

Nephrite

"No, her name is Kascha." Moore says. "She always  was special... in a few ways." A grin at that last part.

Anastasia

"I've heard of her," Amarchos says, "I've heard she recently ascended - a great risk but one that rewarded her well."

Ah, so they used it on her... an interesting choice.

Moore nods. "Well deserved for her efforts." He says. "I suppose... well, actually, I do have a question. Do you keep any anathemic knowledge here?"

Anastasia

With a little laugh, "So we do, when we remember we have it."

"Remember you have what?" Kaja blinks, "Sorry, I lost the conversation."

"It's that stuff you forget about when you hear it." Moore explains. "Like Cantasa Alexandria... which you couldn't even hear. Sorry."

Full Disclosure, my phone corrected that to Canada Alexandria

Anastasia

That would be horrifying.

As Kaja's face goes blank, Amarchos says, "I wasn't aware it was your station to deal with anathemic knowledge," he admits.

Nephrite

"I made it my station." Moore says with a small smile. "It was really just coincidence that I was assigned to investigate what happened in Benfal. That led to another thing and another thing... are you familiar st all with The Lost Realm?" He asks.

Anastasia

"The Lost Realm!" Amarchos smiles widely at that, "I'd heard you'd come from there. The seas of light, do you remember them and all the ships that sailed over it?"

Moore smiles, with a glance over to Kaja to see if he's still following any of this.

"Well, as you may or may not know, when you come back from there, you don't have any memory of being there." He says. "It... was rather troubling to have some vague memories of my past, and to just wake up in Venya one day. As I came into my own with Aurora, memory became something I was very focused on. I didn't want to forget again." Here he clears his throat. "So, after Benfal, when I suddenly found that I'd forgotten something... well, it became a bit of my own crusade."

He stops to think here for a moment. "There are bits and pieces I can recall with perfect clarity -- the people, for example. Something about... gorgons?" He shakes his head. "I do remember parts of it, I think if I sat and thought and focused on it, I could remember everything. But yes, I do remember the awful, poisonous light that wasn't water... and the people who weren't people."

He shivers here for a moment. "But, that's why anathemic knowledge was something I simply couldn't let go. I wasn't willing to forget anymore, to forget anything ever again."

Anastasia

Kaja is slowly blinking it off, "I'm sorry, what?" he says, sounding rather sleepy.

"The Moore that is not Moore," The Authority murmurs in consideration, "Is that something you faced there? It's a fun place to visit - it's the things of nightmare phantasms and bright daydreams at once. I was there, once, when something went unusually awry."

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Somehow or another, I do." Moore says. "...Wait, you can just... go there?"

Huh.

"I never really considered that as a possibility, but I suppose it makes sense, since you have to be able to deliver people there somehow." He says with a thoughtful sigh. "So were you there -because- something went awry, or did something go awry when you were just there?"

Anastasia

"I was taken there, it was an emergency," The Authority says, "Something went wrong, badly wrong."
