Before you the endless shadows begin to rise up. 30ft away from all as the Song of Shar is heard, a mournful dirge that yet draws you in. Great, looming shadows, faceless and bigger than any others. They appear by the hundreds, blending together and becoming a coherent whole, separate at the same time as they advance towards the party in all directions. Shadow itself rises against you as...!!!

Seira decides to try a different opening and warps the spells she calls upon to only affect the incorporeal. It might be a bit lackluster, but the opener is where she can test things out best.

Using Miracle for a Widened Ghost Touch Spell of Seira's Healing Flames. Only hits incorporeal, reaches out for a radius of 3 miles around me.

Goldenfire spreads from you, washing out and yet - it's wrong somehow. Within 30ft by people shadows form and are buffeted by your magic, yet any place there isn't is simply shadow. Shadow that is momentarily lit and nothing else, no great extermination of it. Instead some of the shadows within 30ft fall, only for more shadows to instantly emerge once the goldenfire is passed, quickly filling in the ranks of the fallen. Shadows come uncaringly of your reach as...

As near as you can tell, the shadows themselves aren't forming enough to be creatures, you suspect, until they get that close. Some mass that is a thing rather than an creature, or perhaps some primal force similar to that. It is the Plane of Shadow after all. It may simply be an extension of the plane's nature and will, as natural to occur here (and under Shar's touch) as the sun and water are on the Prime.

Your spell isn't being limited at all. It's simply not working, it's not a question of your SDA being negated.

Meanwhile, your rip through yet more shadows only to find more come, claws and fang dispersing them easy as can be.

More will come and provoke, how many AoOs do you get per round and do you want to spend all of them?

Shadows savage all of you - it's like shadow stuff and hunger, tearing away at you. Something hungry, expressionless shadows assailing you. Amid it all you hold your own, the wounds minor indeed, nothing more than the fury of a power beneath your own - for now.

A flash of light. A column of flame and light cascades ahead, as meanwhile you hear Empress Sulia call, "Forward! Courage and bravery ahead, in the name of tomorrow!"

Advance. Push forward as you can.

In the skies above great shadows go to clash against the light of the moon, twisting into reality. Creatures of all kind of shadow, from dragons to griffons to great, looming fiends with swords of shadowstuff. They all rush to the moon as beams of moonfire lance out, striking back against them.

Rise.

The same horrors rise up around Seira. Amid all the shadows are more - a great wyrm like herself of pure shadow, snarling defiance and with a breath of oblivion. With it rises something that stops your heart for one moment - a shadow-woman of black hair, a phantasm in leathers and with twin short swords. Her eyes of nothing are closed and yet there is a smile on her face. You know this image too well - Shar. Some form of her? Some phantasmal image? A mere shadow copy? Perhaps even an avatar? Even as you hear Shar's voice, from the shadow's mouth comes the Song of Shar, louder now, clearer.

The Song will not be denied this time, Seira. You will not be saved this time. The end comes this time.

The wyrm is 50ft up and 50ft away, rising from the shadows like steam. Shar is 50ft away, below it, swords brought up as...
