Time to take 10 again for 107 on that! Specifically the Nygraat Stone.

Also, do we by any chance have the ability to verify his name via hindsight?

Anastasia

The Nygraat Stone is an obscure bit of magical lore - it's from a minor Prime and commands earth elementals. It's very straight forward in what it does, said to be a tiny chip of  a powerful elemental's body, perhaps even from the body of Grumbar.

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"A moment, please." Moore says. He decides to try out his sending stone, to this Yalgur person.

'Hello and greetings.' he sends.

It'll either work or it won't, and if it doesn't, then...

Anastasia

<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

So either dead or that was a fake name. Fine.

"Jetina, would you mind?" Moore asks. "I'd like to at least see if we can break this. We just participated in a war over slavery, and this is... not that different."

To that, Jetina steps forward and barks a word of power from Raziel!

[22:55] <Nephrite> roll 1d20+34 dispel check
[22:55] <Penuche2> Nephrite invokes Penuche's magic: < 44 > [d20=10]

She's trying to, obviously, just dispel what's forcing all of them to keep doing this.

Anastasia

Jetina's command shatters the magic around the area, the elementals come to a complete stop a moment later.

"It worked," Jetina reports.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Would you indulge a few more questions before you go back?" Moore asks.

Anastasia

The talkative elemental turns, "Fine," he says, "What do you want?"
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Who are you?" Moore asks. "And please, I know enough to know that this is unusual. You're about as likely to get more than two words out of most elementals as you are to convince them their opposite plane is a good time."

Anastasia

"I'd like to know as well," Kaja says, "You're too damn talkative for an elemental."

To this the earth elemental rolls his stony shoulders, "I'm me."
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"We did just rescue you from a lifetime of toiling." Moore says. "You can do better than that, can't you?"

Sense Motive is going on for 81 because come on man!!!!!

Anastasia

"I can do better than that," The elemental agrees as you can tell he's obviously telling the truth here, but being evasive. Don't need skills to tell that. "You ever hear that some questions are better not asked?"

At this Cresiel steps forward, eyeing the elemental silently.

<Penuche2> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 48 > [d20=1]

Something in Cresiel's gaze makes the elemental stop. He goes still as the stones he's made of before Cresiel adds, "Now answer his question."

"It's none of your-" The elemental bites off. "I wasn't born an elemental. There."
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Wait, what?" Moore blinks. "You were turned into one? Some sort of curse?"

Anastasia

"Close enough," The elemental says, shortly.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"We can probably turn you back, you know." Moore says. "I've been known to bring hope to the hopeless in the past. Would you let us try?"
