They're all enchanted. The book works by writing in blood using the quill and dagger. The ring is needed to open the book safely.

The book itself can mimic several spells, but at the cost of health and blood from the writer.

"Well that's... interesting. Apparently the book itself can mimic magic, but it takes your health and some blood to do so." Moore says. He decides to throw all the things in his bag anyway. You never know!

He does check the room out for anything else.

You don't find anything else.

"Blood magic?" Jetina says, "That sounds like dark magic." Studying the book as you put it away, "It's hardly safe to use."

"It is still remarkable if it can freely mimic magic," Xandra points out, "That is never the work of the weak."

"I'll try a Legend Lore on it later and see if the person who made it is the same who ended up bringing this tower here. It probably was." Moore says. "For now, let's keep looking."

Beyond that you finish searching the bottom and go up. On one particular side passage you find as ecret door, locked with magic.

He really needs to make that key of unlocking.

One dispelling that's not too hard to undo and the door is opened. It leads to corridor that ends in an abrupt dead end - the volcanic stone of this region jutting in, stopping further progress.

[Nephrite]

"Do you think this might've originally been the entrance?" Moore asks.

He looks around for anything magical, but assumes that this must've just been the end of where the tower was brought when it ended up here.

[Anastasia]

"It might be, or linking to it," Kaja admits, as you don't find anything magical.

[Nephrite]

Then it's time to head back and see what else they can find!
