'It's more about knowing how to effectively manage one's abilities. A paramount skill when you know more and more spells,' Alicia sends back as she emerges out of the pin-sized hole, skipping them along this long hallway with more space compression.

With the stairs going down, is Violet's room directly below any point on the hallway, actually?

'You best believe I'll be taking a firm look at how our own fortifications are built after this, though.'

Anastasia

It is not, unfortunately.

'As will,' Antenora says, 'This is all to effective.

Then they'll have to get through those rooms ahead and down the stairs. They know the drill.

Anastasia

You're through. This long hall is only lightly lit, a few torches here and there that illuminate the way along. You also notice something - a floating eye of steel dead center, looking about, rotating about so the halls are all seen.

Knowledge or spellcraft to ID that? Take 10 for 65 on either arcana/planes/religion or spellcraft.

Anastasia

It looks to be some sort of magical eye - from the runes at least upgraded with see invisibility as well. A type of minor construct, really.. Not a direct danger, just an eye in the sky.

Well if they can see it, it can see them. Her nondetection is probably holding up since it hasn't focused on them, but Alicia will compress space between both ends of the hall for the group to traverse it without getting too close to the eye and risking it getting lucky if they're too close.

Anastasia

Easily enough. Down to the intersections - and more eye sfloat here, paired groups going and fro.

Alicia keeps them going past the intersections to those rooms before the stairs, the same space compression used to quicken their route and keep them getting too close to any roving or stationary eyes.

Anastasia

Done and done. Past empty intersections, to the first of the rooms. This one is locked by a plain iron door - and your enhanced eyes can see shimmering fields of force around the walls and door. Walls of force, no doubt.

Alicia checks for alarms and the like. If the door isn't flush she can just fit in the gap, otherwise she'll do like she did with the last iron door. Walls of force don't stop silver fire.

Also would any of these rooms be directly above where Violet is?

Anastasia

Unfortunately not - it's straight ahead.

It's easy enough to blast through the door. Beyond is a large room of statues - of soldiers, warriors, paladins, knights, clerics, mages, rogues and more. All beautiful and at action, while at the foot of each one sits a small book.

Will spellcraft or anything tell if they're victims of flesh to stone? Take 10 for 65 if so.

Anastasia

They don't appear to be - by all measures they appear to be merely statues. Well done ones indeed, they'd be worth a pretty penny if sold.

Worry about it later then. Through here and to the next room via the same ruthless expedience that's got her through other recent doors.
